I have been pm'ing with another user here about a MP game but we could not reach a consensus. It did get me anticipating one though, so I am posting here with the rule set I would be interested in playing with. If anyone else is interested, please respond or ask questions. My rule set is based on the many other MP games of SR that I have played.

Red indicated alteration/change.

SR: 6.8.1
No mods. Of any kind, none, notta, zilch.
No scheduled game end
Military difficulty Very Hard
Economic difficulty Very Easy
Diplo Diff Very hard
Debt: Off. (This never hinders a human but hog ties the AI when on)
Allied victories on
Fixed capital: no
Hot relations: very high
Start with units
FOW: on
Enhanced spot/range: OFF
Nukes: Allow
Nuclear penalty: High
Resources: abundant (again to help AI)
Initial Funds: High (help AI)
Approval Effects high
3rd party: yes
Critical UN: yes
Random events: very high
Edit: No restriction on techs or designs

Geopolitical style of play, with a few caveats. By geo political I mean you would more or less act in a manner that one would expect from which ever country you are playing. Broadly.

As I have done in a few previous MP games the 3 "Majors" USA/China/Russia, a human player, cannot attack each other or any other country. They can defend themselves if declared on by the AI.
The Geo part comes into play with each of the Majors supporting and nurturing their allies/sphere partners. Meaning, for example, Russia should support as much as possible Cuba. This is just one example to illustrate the point.

Please be aware this type of game does not appeal to a large amount of people. This will require a minimum of 2 people to start. We would run for 2 or 3 hours, once a week, day to be determined by group consensus. I do prefer if you show interest and we start the game, please respect the other players that make the effort and arrange their schedule to be on time to a game, by you also being on time.

If human player is no show: 2nd time in a row, country is placed under AI control, meaning, I will log into the save game as your country prior to next game session and release any locks on the AI. This is done because if the AI is locked out it cannot move, create or research units as required and will not defend itself if attacked. We do not want that.

Played on: GameRanger
Game Start: Saturdays, 11:00 Mountain (10am Pacific, 12 noon Central, 1pm eastern) Convert to YOUR Local time as required.
Next session: Aug 18h, 2012.

Countries chosen

GIJoe597 - USA
Nic5071/Rasputin - UK
LordCrusader8 /Patriot - Germany

I would prefer that all participants have registered an account here on these forums. I will only take questions about that via PM.

Once launch is pushed and we are all in game. Game will remain paused for a few minutes so that people can make any changes to AI/economy/build etc prior to proceeding.

NOTE: For Late joiners, since you cannot join in a game already playing. I will maintain an audio connection to my Mumble Server. If you decide on the spur of the moment or your situation changes, and you can join. Contact me there. Details are here: viewtopic.php?f=58&t=20168

To all, if this happens I will annouce in game that we have a new arrival. I will them save the game and exit. Once we are all back in the lobby, the new arrival will be given a few minutes to get settled, then I will launch game.

I have seen the Ai do some wonderful things when they have the money to do so. And by wonderful, I mean 15 - 20 years into game they are still debt free and able to function normally.

I might be interested...what is your timezone? Also one question..."you would more or less act in a manner that one would expect from which ever country you are playing", does this mean for example, if I'm playing Kuwait, it would not be acceptable for me to attack Panama but I could attack UAE or I completely misunderstood you? HUH

number47 - I mean if a human is playing either China, Russia or USA, they will not go declaring war on the world. They are only allowed to defend themselves. Kuwait, as a minor, can do what it wants, but be aware that if UAE is allied with one of the big three, they will be expected to send aid to UAE, could be anything from top of the line units to Petroleum or Food. They would not however be allowed to declare war on you.

As a further example using the AI, if AI controlled Libya attacks AI controlled Egypt and Egypt is allied with USA, then USA would still be expected to assist Egypt any way it can, without declaring war on Libya. You would be surprised what the AI can do when given enough resources and units. :)

Did that make it any clearer?

Concerning time zone, it is irrelevant from my end, I can be available at any time with prior notice. This is why I like a set day and time, once a week. Easier to plan that.

MertcanKs - I am sorry, but I do not understand what you are asking. It does look like a Google translation, perhaps you could ask in your native language and someone might translate? Otherwise I am at a loss about what you are asking. :(

Military difficulty Very Hard
He is probably asking if this helps AI military...And yes, he is polish but I doubt he is using google translate cause this is pretty bad translation :-(

Mercants, please write in polish as you did onece before it is easier to understand / proszę pisać po polsku jak to było kiedyś, łatwiej jest zrozumieć

Because the AI can't play efficiently with hard economy.
