Re: Macedonia - Restoration of an Empire
I'm glad you have the determination to continue the struggle , please keep it on
some advices , I know you are aware of , but you've mentioned that you haven't played lately SR2020 as much as before:
buy some good infantry design , maybe PUMA from Germany
I have noticed that you don't have enough funds , but I'm pretty sure that if you lower taxation , you will make much more money ,altough you will have to import more
as for military personnel needed you already know that every garrison disabled equals almost a infantry unit , the challenge is where to take that risk
looking forward for updates
thanks again for sharing

Re: Macedonia - Restoration of an Empire
Thank you. When I started this game, June 2014, wow, that long ago, my intentions were to use only what Macedonia can acquire via research. I did not want to trade for any military units and I still hold that desire. Yes, it handicaps the heck out of me, but, "C'est la vie.

Re: Macedonia - Restoration of an Empire
In this update, I almost crack and purchase units from another country. I am stopped by the cost, which fortunately, keeps me on track of only using what Macedonia can produce internally. I also make a huge error in judgment, which could have been game over.

I'm glad you are stil tackling this...though it was funny to see you repeating exactly the same mistake I made from the page before
Any how, I played for a while and France is a HUGE problem for Macedonia .
They got a lot of units in Romania and the only thing keeping you from being steamrolled is the fact they don't have treaties with Serbia or Bulgaria. I, of course, wasn't aware of that so gaining land border with Romania after conquering Serbian Hydro plant to the east is turning to be a bad move

And to think I was worried about Greece...

Re: Macedonia - Restoration of an Empire
Try making peace with France...ending that war should make your life much easier as you could conquer Serbia without fearing they'll rush right in as soon as you open a land border with Romania. After Serbia is down, you could turn to Greece with much more military personnel available to you (and resources like oil and mil goods).

Re: Macedonia - Restoration of an Empire
As you see in the video I did try to make peace with France, but they are not interested. I am leaning towards turning on Greece now and letting Serbia stew for a while. I actually do not know what I will do when I next play.
