Some quick pics of an AI Russia
This is not really an AAR, but seemed like it was not appropriate for any other subforum.
I have several SR games that I let run in the background while I am doing other things. The following pics are of Russia as of 2031.
As you can see, they are a monster. I plan on jumping in only if Great Britain involves itself, I have watched Russia absorb country after country and am very suprised GB has not attacked or been attacked by Russia yet. I was certain they would intervene as France is ready to fall, and then I was sure they would pull the trigger now that Spain is on the verge. Still nothing. I am undecided if I will help South Korea as they appear to be about to fall also.
The only thing that truly annoys me is the little bit of land that Ukraine has. They have just a few units dug-in deep inside Russia and since they are not "encroaching" on Russian "borders", Russia will not finish them.
I am going to let this run as long as it takes for BG to get involved. I think the Nuetrality of the Chunnel hex is not allowing the 2 borders to touch, preventing the AI from responding to an agressive border. Although GB can and does declare war on Serbia in many games and they have zero borders also. /shrugs
NOTE: I have been funding Russia to keep them in the "black" and 5 years ago I logged in as Russia to build one "star complex" of Fusion Power plants. They also inherited about 200 advanced units I had sent to Germany, which collapsed unexpectedly fast.

See, this is why I'm arming Ukraine out the wazoo with equipment

Soon as France falls, Russia will declare war on GB, or vise versa as they will share the border from that island. But that war will go nowhere since the chunnel will quickly collapse.

France fell, Russia acquired their Caribbean holdings and promptly declared war on ... Dominica.

Re: Some quick pics of an AI Russia
My initial thought is to not get directly involved, but instead to support GB with money and units if/when needed. I recently gave them 1,000,000m which should hold them for a bit. Now that Russia has decimated Europe and Scandinavia and finally got GB involved I will no longer be supporting them financially. GB has a large amount of units ready to go, but cannot hope to match Russia's production ability as shown in picture below;
Yes, that is 234 Land fabs.

Good grief.
Maybe you should deploy special forces? Travel thorough the orth sea, and just above Russia, then chop in some special forces? Enough bee stings will kill a bear, ya know.

When I played Russia I let AI to do this while I transported my armies to other continents, where AI couldn't send...

When the time comes for me to get directly involved, I will more than likely rain death upon their Black Eagles with wave after wave of AGMs. Notice the 999 missle fabs.
I may also take a peek, I am very curious how many units a Russia with that many land fabs has. I might also, while I am there, tweak their Financials/Resources to make it interesting. Would be good if they could continue to push in Europe and S. America.

Great Britain has a toe hold on the main land, can they hold and expand?

Re: Some quick pics of an AI Russia
In my campaign (I were russia) AI played the war with Great Britain too. My armies passed the channel. Fortunatelly the bridge was not destroyed. All other international bridges were fallen and I wonder if they took so much damage from battles, or they destroyed for diplomatic reasons.
Should I mod the bridges to have HUUUUUGE life??

I am fairly certain Ruges has added extra "HP" to the chunnel in his mod.

Nukes. Nukes might help your situation. Or a lot of cruise missiles.

Re: Some quick pics of an AI Russia
I do not use nuclear weapons.
This is what I did; I waited to see how well GB would do. They charged out very well, but as happens, eventually they ran out of steam and had the majority of their units in repair. At that point Russia started a slow push back, condensing GB's area slowly but surely into a small patch of land just beyond the Chunnel. At this point Russia started in on the Chunnel with arty.
I knew if it was destroyed GB would never push across into Europe. I immediately declared on Russia, set DEFCON 1, raised Military Salary and Training to max and called up 2 wings of F-204 Coyotes and 2 wings of B-3 Angels. (14 squadrons each). These units were deployed to Great Britain, rearmed, refueled and tasked to clear all of the Russian 9K62 arty units within range of the Chunnel. By the time it was clear there was only 3% left to the Chunnel. Along the way, dozens of T-12UM1 Black Eagle tanks were harmed in these strikes.
Eventually the area was clear and GB started minor offenses again as units where coming out of repair. By this time the Coyotes were haggard, 6 of the 14 squadrons were at 50% strength and 2 were less than 10%. This presented a problem. It was clear the only thing keeping GB in the fight on mainland Europe was US airpower. I had decided early on I would not bring in reinforcement airframes. We would make do with what we had. Being deployed, I could not send units to a depot for repair, (always thought that was odd, that you cannot enter repair on an allied airfield). After conferring with British Air Command as to likely alternatives, none were presented.
A plan was devised, 1 squadron of C-5s were called up from reserves and ordered to Fort Bragg. There they would pair up with 7 brigades of Advanced Warrior III. The "Special Forces" unit would fly to England, recover, then be airdropped on Reims "France" under cover of an F204 raid to draw air defenses. Bottom line, I have one Airfield and one Barracks on mainland Europe. This is the only internal support our air units have and we are holding the Bear at bay on a wing and a prayer. Of the original 14 Coyote squadrons only 3 are fully operational, the rest are in depot being repaired. I bring them out as required, Russia has a rather large land and Air force. Between battles they go straight back into repair.
