Re: Starting a new "AAR"
My house rules always depend on the country. Once I know which one then I decide rules. As an example, if I play U.S.A. or U.S.S.R. I will only use designs they have themselves. If I use a small country with no designs to type of, then I will purchase what I think is best. I do tend to not ally with very many, perhaps one or two others only, but again, depends on country size. I do not use nukes, since the AI cannot use them. I always set Mil Diff: Hard. Those are a few there, rest will have to wait and see who, what, where, when and why.
Iceland would be interesting for sure. Problem is, first thing I would do is take over CCP HQ.

Re: Starting a new "AAR"
Another interesting choice, althought I shy away from time limits. I have never been a fan of racing a clock in a video game. I always hated having to do x, in y amount of time. I prefer a slower methodical approach, I am just no good at time limits and sweating a timer is not fun for me :( I will proactively admit defeat on that scenario.
I guess it is one of the reasons most of my games cross the 40 year mark in SR 2020.

Re: Starting a new "AAR"
I think we should all try and make a CW AAR when it comes out, then we can learn from each other, and hopefully get some more people into the game.
My SR:U Model Project, get the latest and post suggestions here:

Re: Starting a new "AAR"
I will not be puchasing CW until it have been out for some time. I prefer to wait and see. I did start a game, but have not been documenting it, it is rather interesting so far. I have not yet decided on what country to run the AAR with yet. Soon I shall.
