Hi guys, been a lurker here and now its time for me to join in the fun. So here is my first post and my first AAR on these forums.

So this first post is to give you all an idea of whats going on, and to get the mundane pre-war buildup out of the way.

Hirohito's Revenge.

This is an AAR that follows the rebuilding of the Japanese Empire that was rudely taken away from them by the hands of the Allied forces in the latter stages of World War II.
The long term ideology surrounding this is to re-take those lands that Japan had called thier own in the early stages of WWII. This means retaking of Taiwan, Indonesia (Borneo, Java, Sumatra), Malaysia (Malaya), Papua New guinea (New Guinea), Solomon Islands (including Guadal canal).
From there a northen front to enter Thailand, Mayanmar (Burma) and China (French Indo-China and Manchuria) and South Korea (Korea). The Southern Islands of Pacific Islands (Guam) need to be retaken also. From there if not defeated by possibly the entire world, who will be fighting me in due time; we will move west towards the Middle East, and perhaps a southern front to head for Austrailia, (East for the USA is a possibility also, so many options!).

So here is a few bits of information regarding the starting position of Japan, watered down as to not add a huge amount of insignificant details.

World 2020: Default settings.

Jan 1st 2020: Ragu takes over leadership of the Democratic nation of Japan. Japan is in serious financial difficulty, almost 7,000,000 M in debt. In fact the highest starting debt in game! Which will proove to be a nightmare to repay.

Jan 7th 2020: An alliance is formed between Japan and South Korea.

Jan 19th 2020: South Korea declares war on North Korea.

Feb 2021: North Korea surrenders to South korea.

Dec 27th 2023: Japan reaches a tech level of 119!



Feb 12th 2024: Japan signs an alliance with Russia and India

March 14 2024: Japan has paid off 1,000,000 M from the outstanding bonds loaned to her for their survival.



Aug 12 2024: The first in a long line of Ballistic Nuclear Missiles come off the Japanese production lines, and loaded onto land-based artillery ready to be used in a retaliatory nature if needed. I dont wish to start nuclear war, but these are ready for instant retaliation if used against us.



Sept 20 2024: The first victory in the regional elections!!



Jan 1st 2025: The first Storm Hunter tanks roll off the Japanese production lines.



Jan 11th 2025--->May 29th 2026: Japan pays off another 2,000,000 M from the bonds loans.



Sept 2028: Election Victory for a 3rd term in office!!



July 2029: An unforgettable day for the Japanese Government as the debts outstanding from the bond loans are paid off. JAPAN IS OFFICIALLY DEBT FREE!! w00t

World War II Info...

War planning.

The greatest threat to out empire is from the Chinese. Upon the strength of this I decided to start my conquest with the invasion of China. My Plan is a 3 step plan governed by 3 operations.
Operation 1: Plough (すき)
Operation 2: Lighthouse (灯台)
Operation 3: Torch (トーチ)

Plough is a frontal invasion of China from over the South Korean border. 160,000 personnel strong attack. The strategy is to forcably push from the Korean border to Beijing.
Lighthouse is a flanking manouvour to the east coast just south of Beijing as to secure the rear flank of my troops as they head south-east to conitnue with operation Torch.
Torch is the final push to China's second city Shanghai.

Invasion Begins.



February 12th 2031: Japan officially declares war on China.



February 16th 2031: On the 4th day of war, Japan is 140km into Chinese territory.



February 21st 2031: The all important port of Dalian falls to the might of the Japanese army.



At this time the casualties are set towards the Chinese.



February 26th 2031: The Chinese fight back with a feirce counter-attack



February 26th 2031: The Japanese army swing around to the north to besiege the town of Shenyang. The most feice fighting the Chinese have put up so far!



February 28th 2031: Shenyang falls to the Japanese Empire.



March 5th 2031: Things start to get a little hot as the Japanese army heads for the town of Jinxi



March 16th 2031: Jinxi falls to steam-rolling army hell bent for Hirohito's revenge! At this point the Japanese army are 460km inside of Chinese territories. This is a milestone as in little over a month we have made it half-way to Beijing.



March 23rd 2031: The strategically placed crossroad town of Chaoyang falls to the Japanese empire. This cuts the shortest supply routes from Beijing to the northern barren parts of the Chinese empire. With this roadway taken and held, that will cut supply speed conciderably to the northern armies of China.



March 27th 2031: It seems we have broken the back and will of China's armed forces to our suprise. They are retreating back towards Beijing and re-grouping for the capital citys defense.



March 30th 2031: Reports are sent to us about a gurella uprising at one of our complexes in previously Chinese-held territories. So I order a contingent of Anti-tank units to quash this threat.



April 5th 2031: Our armies are now 160km away from the capital city of beijing!



April 19th 2031: In a suprise move, China retalliates with a counter-attack from the south at the town of Tangshan with a last didch attempt to push us back from Beijing.



April 14th 2031: The battle of Beijing begins.



April 15th 2031: We up the ante and lauch a full scale attack on Beijing. We call on the Imperial Airforce with ECW equipped close-air fighter support, and destruction-spreading strategic bombers to flatten Beijing. The good old SB-1 Shinzui Stealth Bomber (based on the American B2 stealth Bomber).



April 17th 2031: A DAY OF DAYS! Beijing falls to the Japanese Empire!!! In an unexpected turn of events, the government located in Beijing chose to surrender to us rather than move capitals are fight the good fight. That is good news, less Japanese military personnel to give their lives to this nobel cause. Celebrations ensue!



April 17th 2031 is the day the Japan-Chinese war officially ended!

The casualty list shows the Chinese were well on their way loosing their military personnel. The numbers of Japans gains from the fall of Communist China are larger than expected.

April 30th 2031: Vietnam declares war on Japan



May 6th 2031: Japan invades Vietnam



May 8th 2031: 160km away from the Vietnamese capital city of Hanoi

May 11th 2031: The south-east advance on Hanoi starts to close the Vietnamese in a flanking manouvour.



May 17th 2031: The battle of Hanoi begins.



May 20th 2031: Hanoi falls to the Japanese army!



May 21st 2031: The Veitnamese capital is moved to the southern town of Thanh Pho Chi



May 26th 2031: Japan breaks out of Hanoi and bottlenecks the Vietnamese forces and obliterates them. Now its a southern push towards their new capital city.

May 30th 2031: Mayanmar declares war on Japan!



June 1st 2031: Japan splits the Veitnam forces and sends them north west to intercept the Mayanmar advances.



June 4th 2031: Veitnam counter-attacks us outside the town of Hue



June 5th 2031: Japan counterattacks Mayanmar's advances into Japanese territory.



June 14th 2031: 320km away from the Vietnamese capital. The end for Vietnam is in sight.



Up to this point the Veitnamese casulaties have outweighed all of mine from this war and the previous Chinese war as well.



June 20th 2031: The Vietnamese last stand begins!



June 22nd 2031: Veitnam Surrenders to the Japanese military!

Meanwhile Japans armies close on Naypyidaw. So a plan is created to take the capital.

Operation: Swoop (急襲)

Objective is to take the capital city. The methods will be a 2 pronged assault on the city.

Firstly an assault from the north-east that swings south to attack the northern flank of the city.

Secondly an assault from the north-west, then swings around to attack the rear in a eastern approach.



July 25th 2031: The battle of Naypyidaw begins



July 27th 2031: The Capital falls!



July 28th 2031: Mayanmar moves its capital south to Yangon.



Aug 1st 2031: The armies moving south have approached and are ready to begin the final assault on Yangon.



Aug 2nd 2031: Yangon falls!



Aug 3rd 2031: The capital is moved to Bassein

The plan to attack Bassein is this..



Aug 5 2031: Bassein falls and Mayanmar surrenders!!

March 2 2032: The old Chinese lands are being improved as there were no supply lines to the far reaches of their empire, and the population was in desperate need of more agricultural and fresh water supplies. So the building of the infrastructure begins.



Sept 5th 2032: 5 months later and the infrastructure is almost completed, and our armies can enjoy unbroken lines of supply.



Sept 20 2032: Election Vicotry for us as we get a record 4th term in office!

Jan 6th 2033: Peace for the nation of Japan is no more, as we declare war on Cambodia.



Jan 8th 2033: Phnum Pehn falls



UN advisors withdraw from Japan in disgust



Jan 9th 2033: Capital is moved to Kampong Saom



Also Bangladesh declares war on Japan



And on the same day, Japan orders an instant invasion of Bangladesh to show we shouldn't be messed with!



Jan 10th 2033: The new Cambodian capital falls to Japan, and moves it to Datdambang





Jan 13th 2033: Afghanistan decares war on Japan!



Also Krygzystan declares war on us as well!!!



Also on this day Cambodia falls to Japan. She surrenders her forces to us in a crushing defeat!

Feb 25th Japan pulls a swift flanking manovour on Uzbekistan and catches them completley off guard. A small contingent of Japanese forces attack towards the capital from the east to west, whilst the main forces swoop north into freindly Kasikstan, then east and then flank around and attack the city from the north completley unawares.



March 2 2033: Tajikstan declares war on Japan



March 3rd 2033: Malaysia declares war on Japan



March 5th 2033: Pakistan surrenders.

June 5th 2033: After Mongolia lost 2 capital cities to Japan, and their ability to hide in mountain towns with no roads or supplies, Japan offers them a temporary peace treaty to stop tieing up valuble units for litle gain.



June 23rd 2033: Iraq declares war on Japan



June 26th 2033: Japan invades Iraq



June 30th 2033: Japan heads for Bahgdad in a flanking manouvour



July 2nd 2033: Japan assaults Bahgdad



July 5th 2033: Iraq surrenders



July 11th 2033: Kuwait declares war on Japan



July 15th 2033: Kuwait surrenders



July 17th 2033: Syria declares war on Japan



July 31st 2033: Turkey declares war on Japan



Aug 6th 2033: Saudi Arabia declares war on Japan

Aug 14th 2033: Saudi Arabia liberates Japanese held Kuwait region. This is the first defeat the Japanese have suffered since the invasion of China feb 2031.



Aug 19th 2033: Japan counter-attacks the Saudis in the Kuwait region



Aug 28 2033: Turkey have made some ill-gotten advances into undefended Japanese-held Iran, so the Japanese destroy the forces there and invade Turkish territories



Sept 2 2033: Turkey and Syria mount a devastating counter-attack outside of Silopi



Sept 6th 2033: Japan repels the first wave of the Syrian advances



Sept 12 2033: Syria counters Japanese forces again



Sept 19 2033: Turkmeinstan surrenders



Also Japan pushes the Syrian attack back again



Sept 22 2033: Japan puts the pressure on Syria by defeating their advances and pushing deep into Syrian territory, and also opens up 2 fronts in Saudi Arabia



Sept 24th 2033: Iran surrenders after a long protracted game of chase the capital city around Iran!



Sept 27th 2033: Japan besiges the cities of Halab and Shayrat



Sept 28th 2033: Hamah is caught in a Japanese pincer movement



Oct 1st 2033: The battle of Dimashq begins



Oct 2nd 2033: Syria is defeated!!



Oct 5th 2033: Japan assaults Jordan lands



Oct 7th 2033: Isreal declares war on Japan



Also Lebanon declares war on Japan

Oct 15th 2033: Japan has over-extened and outsped it's reinforcement ability to back the middile-eastern fronts. Azerbijan and Turkey push from the north. Lebanon push from the west, the Saudi's push from the south as well. Our western army is fighting Isreal and Jordan. The remaining middile-eastern forces are sent to re-group at the city of Tehran



Oct 27th 2033: Isreali forces surround, cut off and anhilate what is left of the Japanese 3rd army outside Amman. This is a great loss, as those troops were highly experenced. They had fighting experence from the invasion of Cambodia right through to now!



Also Azerbijan and Turkey push further into our lands from the north.



Dec 13th 2033: The Middle-east defense group is created by Japan. This is the first time Japan has been on a full defensive stance. Reinforcements have started to arrive, and a composite army groups with close-air support is formed.
Japan sees this as a time of attrition and not advancement. This could be a long and protracted fight for survival!
