While I understand not having the minister do some things, In this case the only thing this seems to do is let the other regions know you are interested in buying units. This is actually good info to know though, if your not using it and I am and IM getting more unit trade offers ,it pretty much confirms to me that checking that priority box is the way to go.

Well there could be alot more variables. To know for sure we would have to start identical games and make exactly the same choices excpet for that one issue.

When I typed about starting standings I was referring to how other countries view Grenadines vs how they veiw St Kitts. Is there any way to know how this is hard coded at start?

When I restart perhaps I will start as St Kitts this time, to see if that has any influence? I will ensure I have an Airfield, Port and Barracks from the get go and leave the minister in his cubby, see how that affects it.

Actually, before you scrap your old game, try setting your minister priority on that game. See if that helps. I hope you have a seapier and airfield (?).

If you scrap your game, I wouldnt limit myself to the usual house rules till you figure out the settings that would give the most opportunity for success.

I know if I was using my usual house rules , there would have been know way in heck I would have been able to aquire those ships or aircraft and/or quite possible those land units that early in the game. I just wouldnt have had the funds to do it. I also dont know if that effects any future offers either.

After Update 7 comes out I will attempt this againx2, 1 using house rules and 1 without house rules, and see what differences I may find. Ill also play it out further and take some land, build a base etc...Maybe we can start a 3rd type on MP using both Grenadines and St. Kitts.

I dunno, may ask the Devs or a Modder. Only other way I can think of would be to start a game as each region and look at St. Kitts and Grenadines to see.

I am uninstalling and reinstalling the game. apparantly I have corrupt files again. No idea how this happens, I do not use any mods or fiddle with any files at all.

So this attempt is dead.

I will then. But first I want to play about 20 years into a new game now that I have this fresh install again. I will be looking for any "funny" stuff and specifically the NTS-1 Shielded Truck. I know that unit has bad stats in my previous installation.

I think I am about ready to try again with this fresh install. But, I am wondering if I should use the optional update 7? What do you think? I currently have not bothered with it.

Also should I try the same nation or choose another, if another which one?

Since U7 is optional I was not going to download it. But I think I will now. What that means is I will want to play a game with it before I try to start as a one hex country again. See what it has to offer/changes.

I will play as the USA since I can gain tech faster and see more units and what if any changes will change my "style" of play.

It will not take long to start the new game, but I am going to go a different direction with the telling of the story, if I can. Time will tell about that, but I anticipate starting the actual gameplay within the next 2 days.
