Jan 2020 and a new Sultan is proclaimed as ruler of Turkey. For he calls himself Suleiman: The Magnificent; after the Ottoman sultan who reigned from 1520 to 1566. Suleiman personally lead Ottoman armies to conquer the Christian strongholds of Belgrade, Rhodes and most of Hungary, until he was thwarted at the siege of Vienna in 1529.
He annexed most of the middle east in his conflict against the Persians (modern day Iran), large area's of North Africa as far as Algeria.
His Ottoman fleet dominated the oceans from the Mediterrainian to the Red Sea and the Persian gulf.
As for this Suleiman, his first objectives is to stabalise the economy, re-pay debts loaned by the UN, catch-up in research to the tech-level leaders of the world (currently at TL89, thats #69 in the world), and of course forge a new empire.
The game is vanilla Supreme Ruler 2020 and the settings are "World In Crisis".
Turkey has a debt of around 400,000 M, so thats not so bad.
Jan 11th 2020: Suleiman makes a deal with the united Kingdom, to use the Fres infantry design.
Aug 5th 2020: Suleiman has payed off half of Turkeys outstanding debt.
Dec 26th 2020: A tech level of 91 has been reached, which now moves us up to 60th in the world!
March 10th 2021: Suleiman has finally paid off all outstanding debts owed to the UN.
Now its time for the slow process of building up the countries coffers with Dollars, and building up the military to start Imperialistic adventures.
