In a gothic room, with a mere few pinpoints of candlelight to ward off total darkness a group of people dressed in dark robes assembles. Quietly they all stand there and wait. After some time passes another figure in a dark robe with gilt edging enters and glides towards the suddenly lit podium.

"Brothers and Sisters. You are the few who have proven your strength, intelligence, loyalty, and devotion to our organization and cause. It is now time for all our work and effort to take a more active role. The world is falling apart. All the once-great nations have broken apart into squabbling pieces. It is a time of chaos in which a group with vision, daring, and ability can seize total power. We are that group! *The crowd begins murmuring in agreement*

"Our home, considered by many to be "backward" and "insignificant" is the perfect place to start. Many in the world will underestimate us until it is far too late. We have worked hard and the time to strike is now at hand. The election is coming up and we have made "arrangements" to win it. You all here will be the government. We will work together to advance ourselves and begin the new world order. Are you ready?" *Again, the group gives their assent, stronger this time*

INN-Headline News, June 17, 2020

In minor news from around the world today, the new elected government in Nigeria took over today.

Graygan, the only known name of the shadowy groups leader calls each member of the cabal into his office in turn. Making sure they understand, he lets them all know in no uncertain terms that they are not to go haring off on their own and do things without permission(all minister controls turned off). First in is the production minister and price controls are discussed. Agriculture, Water, and Timber are all set to 1% above production cost. Petroleum is set at a standard $200 and Electricity is brought to a standard $300. Consumer goods are to be set at 35% above production cost regardless of the actual cost. All production is set to 101% of demand.

The research minister is brought in and discussions on research and the trading of said research are conducted. It is decided that, in order to prove the viability of the nation and the cabal, the only research traded for will be unit designs/blueprints that cannot be researched ourselves(only specific nation/regional unit designs will be aquired and then only if the existing tech requirement is known).

The finance minister is brought in next. It is explained that he will be watched like a hawk, regardless of the trust that is endowed in him. First it is decided to set all social costs to the reccomended levels. Then taxes are set at a total rate of 45%. It is decided that these numbers may change in the future but that it's a good starting point.

Next the Defense minister is called in. A review of current unit strengths and abilities is conducted and out of that, some units have been designated for the scrap yard. These units consist of the out-dated and useless Anti-Aircraft weapons and the foot based units as they are too slow to respond to any military emergencies. Also, all air and naval transport units were ordered to the scrap yard. To make up for the loss in strength, the single military land fabrication center was ordered to go into high gear and began producing 38 combat engineer units. These units will be used as an early defensive line for the nation as well as helping with the massive construction projects being considered for the future. At the same time, all unit commanders are told in no uncertain terms that they are not to go haring off on their own. They are to follow orders or be replaced.(globally all current and new units set to no initiative, normal movement, accept med casualties, and engage level of ROE). Finally all remaining units are activated, gathered at the capitol, and sorted into defensive garrisons. These regiments are then sent to the main roads at the three national borders and told to go into defensive posture. The sole combat engineer unit is sent to the site of the new construction that will be started shortly. The fighter squadrons are sent to the Kano airfield in the North of the nation, a good place for defensive sorties.

Lastly, the Diplomatic minister is brought in. Target nations for alliance are California, Florida, Texas, Mexico, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Israel, England, S. Germany, W. Germany, Moscow, India, N. China, S. China, S. Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the UN Protectorate islands. At first it will be enough to obtain Line of Sight, Full Transport, Criminal Extradition, and Full-Trade agreements with these nations. However, it's ascertained that Saudi Arabia is fully willing and ready to ally immediately.

While these negotiations are started, the first construction of the new national economic upbringing is started. A single Industrial Goods factory. The building project brings new jobs to the nation which may pose a problem in the future as this single building drops the unemployment to an unacceptable low.
Labor Shortage.jpg
With oil production reduced, it's hoped that the unemployment rate will go up. As insensitive as it sounds, any competent financial advisor will agree that a certain level of unemployment is good for a nation. Usually in the 3.1 to 6% range.

Back to the diplomatic negotiations. The diplomatic minister is let into a little known secret of the cabal. The finance ministers of the target nations are also members. They have agreed to aid in the diplomatic efforts and when the time comes, to aid in the enrichment of Nigeria. Once the initial agreements are made, monetary trades of equal value are conducted and reported to the leadership which increases our international standing and esteem with the target nations.
Diplo Financial Equal.jpg
**oops... cropping is off on that one. Sorry... the cash trades are equal in amount**

After hundreds of billions of dollars in equal trades, the various target nations begin to accept the usefulness of Nigeria as a potential ally and agree to full alliances with all agreements except missile and mutual defense. Once the alliances are in the bag, the cabal members are called upon to cook the books in their various nations with monetary trades.

INN-Headline News, June 27, 2020

In startling news, the nation of Nigeria today paid off its entire National Debt to the World Bank today. Questions on their ability to complete this transaction went unanswered and the various nations of the world were unconcerned with such trivial amounts. This reporter feels that further inquiry may be necessary
.

**Sorry... pictures turned out badly. Debt paid off in one day**

INN-Headline News, July 18, 2020

Amidst heightening tensions around the world, the rising fortunes of the Nigerian government is being paid little attention. Today it was confirmed that Nigeria is the current leader in finances.

**Ok... Tired and still waiting forever for tech advancements so just going to give the bare-bones with a few pictures here and there for now.**

August 1, 2020---Only 25 Nations currently at war.

Aug 6, 2020---North China and Manchuria go to war against each other, The grand melee starts with the ships off their shared ocean territories. Manchuria loses the sea battle but destroys most of Northern Chinas naval might with followup strikes from aircraft and artillery. North China responds with the first wave of troops into Manchurian territory. North China sends offensive aircraft strikes to the front, including multi role fighters. Aircraft base approximately 200km away. Chinese fighters destroy several Manchurian defensive aircraft and begin strikes against ground units.
China War.jpg
China War2.jpg
China War3.jpg
August 28, 2020---First Industrial goods factory finished. Starting 2 more, when those are done, scrapping the two mids that we started with.

August 31, 2020---Inner Mongolia falls to North China

Sept 15, 2020---S. Korea continues it's slow march through N. Korea.

Sept 21, 2020---Israel faring poorly against Syria, its only current opponent. Lack of supplies and cash appears to be the biggest contributor.

Dec 6, 2020---First 3 of a series of Supply Depots constructed. When finished, we should have 90ish % supply throughout the nation.

Dec 26, 2020---N. China collecting enemies left and right with only one ally. That ally being the nefarious Nigerians. Currently 16 enemies and climbing.

Dec 31, 2020---Israel making huge inroads into Syria. Apparently their other allies sent a small fortune in cash(26 billion from the negative 120 million they had before) and supplies.

Feb. 15, 2021---1st Research completed, Waste Management isn't glorious, but it is necessary.

Feb 28, 202---European Theatre heats up as WWIII apparently gets underway. South Germany nearly simultaneously attacked by the Austrians, Czechs, and Polish.

March 2, 2021---Austria made a perhaps unwise decision in attacking S.Germany as Salzburg and nearly half of Austria falls to S. Germany in a matter of days.

March 6, 2021---Austrian towns of Wels and Linz fall to S. German forces whilst vast tracts of Czech territory are seized by S. Germany at the same time.

March 12, 2021---N. Korea falls to S. Korea while S. Germany continues to make inroads against the Czechs and Austria.

July 13, 2021---Tech Level 81 reached

Sept 24, 2021---Oooh! A computer Error resulting in over 1million barrels of extra oil... I guess that's what happens when you're still in the TRS-80 tech level of computers. Good thing for me I suppose.

Oct 18, 2021---Hmm... Now some more petroleum... must be a continuation of those computer errors... Mental note... Put in an order with Dell for a new industrial level computer system.

Nov 20, 2021---Again? This time an accounting error caught by an audit? I really really need a new computer system with properly trained operators for my oil fields. At this rate, I'll have more oil than the Middle East combined.(pretty much stopping the reporting of errors. For several years I got about 1 a month and it was always an addition to my oil)

Dec 7, 2021---Research Tech Global Education System Implemented, hopefully this will help.

Feb 18, 202---UN fairly happy with us, though the World Market Subsidy keeps getting adjusted up and down by a couple % points every month or so.

April 3, 2022---Final 3 supply depots are built, the government-run supply and trucking business is having a profound effect with 90% or better supply and delivery rating for goods throughout the entire nation.

April 29, 2022---First aid package sent to Israel just to see what kind of a difference it'll make. Basically half my supplies of each product plus 38.5 billion to pay for more stuff if they burn through the products. 81 billion in total aid. Included is a picture of their current dire straits before accepting the aid package.
Israel4.jpg
April 30, 2022---Israel accepts aid package

July 7, 2022---Apparently my aid package made things worse, a couple days after the transfer, Syria renewed its stalemated offensive and a scant two months later Israel falls. On another note, as can be seen, the UN takes a dismal view to any ally of a nation that falls. We dropped from a nearly full UN Approval bar to dangerously low and lost 25% of the World Market Subsidy Rating as well. All because Israel fell while we were allied with them.(seems a bit harsh to me, I did send some rather massive aid. If anything, the approval rate should go up for actually trying to help)
UNStatus2.jpg
July 11, 2022---Tech level 82 reached

Oct 31, 2022---UN status is slowly heading back to old levels after the Isreali fiasco. Nearly 4 months later we're back up to 70% World Market Subsidy and the UN Approval is back in the green, barely.

Nov 23, 2022---The last natural resource facility is finished. There are no more available water, ore, coal, or petroleum areas within the borders to exploit. While there are more timber stands and agricultural areas that can be developed, it's deemed unnecessary at this time. Currently, there are also 204 Coal-run Electric plants and enough Consumer/Industrial plants to produce over 100k/day if needed with 12k/day military goods if needed. The current construction projects remaining are 10 research facilities, an aerospace construction facility, mission control center, 15 each of the land, air, and naval fabrication centers, and 66 missile fabrication plants. Due to our current technological drawbacks, we are planning on holding off on the military fabrication plants until we have the technological capability to build better units. Seeing as how our neighbors will get mightily upset when we build them. As it is, our neighbors are happy enough with us and have absolutely 0% desire/likelihood to attack us.The only drawback to becoming completely self-sufficient in everything except Uranium is the fact that we have far too many jobs available, which is impacting our unemployment and inflation rates. With a steady trickle of population growth(1.5 million/year) it is hoped that our unemployment levels will rise to a functional level in a couple or three years. In the meantime, we will attempt to deal with the inflation through price controls and taxes. Regardless of the problems, though, we are continuing to make a steady, if small, amount of positive cash flow despite the high inflation and low unemployment.

Dec 17, 2022---10 research centers completed for a total of 12 lines of research now available. Time for some serious research and an attempt to bring our technology closer to parity with the rest of the civilized world.

Jan 6, 2023---While checking on the state of the world, I noticed the leftovers of an Indonesian sea-borne invasion of S. China. This far into the game, most of the various chinese navies are in pieces at the bottom of the ocean due to fighting amongst themselves as well as the Indonesian, Taiwanese, and Philippino navies plus the superior technology of the Japanese navies.

April 1, 2023---While making dinner, I missed the death of Austria. The 4th Nation in the game falls. S. Germany is on a roll. The Czech Republic is on its last legs and nearly a third of Poland is also owned by S. Germany.

July 4, 2023---Tech Level 83 reached

Sept 2, 2023---Unemployment finally reaching acceptable levels. Inflation is still a problem, but much less so. Income has dropped a bit, but still more than enough considering that the
only thing we buy is Uranium in order to stockpile for future building purposes.

Dec 22, 2023---More proof of Sea-Borne Invasion... Taiwan has taken an island off the coast of N. China. The Town has obviously been bombarded to the stone age, but it's no longer in the hands of N. China.
SeaBorneInvasion2.jpg
March 24, 2024---Election-days, normally we'd arrange matters to get the fickle populace to re-elect us, but it appears that we have no need to do such a thing at this time.

May 27, 2024---Slowly increasing our military production capabilities seems to have little impact on our neighbors' views upon us. Several, in fact, would willingly ally with us if we asked and tossed a couple hundred million at them. This is a good thing as it will continue to allow us to build up our technology level whilst building the military transports we will be needing in the future. Currently 5 Wasp Carriers(US Design) and 5 Cossack air transports(Russian design) are being built. When the carriers are finished, we will begin the building of the landing ships for sea-borne invasions.

June 26, 2024---Tech Level 84 reached, we're slowly on our way.

July 2, 2024---Election Results are in, 42.5% voted for us. As foreseen, there was no need for manipulation of the masses

July 9, 2024---After further review and debate, it is decided to break with our own pact about acquiring technologies from other nations. The world frowns upon the development of nuclear capability, the hypocrites. They do not care to have others with the ability to defend themselves. As a result, we will be trading for the knowledge to build and field nuclear weapons of high quality and possibly some of the nuclear missile designs just a future safety net. This is especially important since the research for this technology seems to have little impact on the total level of technological ability in our nation. Hmm... perhaps we could approach California on this subject?

July 11, 2024---In a rapid series of back-channel negotiations, the former US state of California supplied all the technologies and a handful of unit designs necessary to build and field nuclear weapons. They were surprisingly eager to provide this knowledge. We believe that they see us as a possible future foil against the problems of the Mid-East as well as believing that if the smaller nations of the world have this technology, it might lead to less use of the weapons. What was truly surprising was the discount they gave us on the purchase of the technologies. They were worth somewhere in the neighborhood of 60 billion to develop and we purchased them all for a total of 25 billion with a promise to "loan" that cash back to us should we so need. The need for secrecy is high. We will not actually produce any of these missile designs until much later when our plans are revealed to the whole world.

July 14, 2024---Economic concerns continue to plague us. Unemployment has risen, but not enough. Inflation has fallen, but not enough. Prices on Agriculture, Water, and Timber raised to 20% from 11% with the hopes that it will reduce demand, thus increasing unemployment and stabilizing the Inflation rate some more. Our daily income has steaded down to approximately a quarter billion a day. If necessary we can increase that to nearly 1 billion a day, but that plays havoc with the unemployment and inflation rates. We have done this on occasion in order to increase our treasury, but there is no longer a need to do this. We continue to stockpile Uranium. We are currently at 38 million tons and climbing. When we start building ships with nuclear plants and eventually nuclear warheads, we will need that stockpile. Our neighbor to the North has Uranium fields which we could exploit, but we will wait patiently before taking the route of war.

Oct 5, 2024---The first AN-225 Cossack to be used for the National Supply and Delivery company is put into use. As in the old United States with their Federal Express, the transport planes of this company can be called upon by the military in times of need.

Nov 12, 2024---With the completion of an Orbital Launch Pad, Nigeria today truly enters the space race. The first communications satellite launch is expected tomorrow with a second communications satellite to follow in 2 weeks.

Dec 8, 2024---The first of 5 LHD-1 Wasp Helicopter Carriers was deployed today. It makes an excellent anti-aircraft platform for coastal defense as well as being a useful sea-borne invasion platform. It has been undecided as to whether or not we will ever use Helicopters, but as a transport, it's very useful.

Dec. 25, 2024---Even after 5 months of coninued rising of price controls, we still have problems with our Unemployment and Inflation. Inflation has dropped to 12.9% with unemployment at 2.9%. Agriculture, Water, Timber, and Electricity prices are all at 50% over production costs and yet demand keeps rising which decreases unemployment. Taxes are at a straight 45%. Petroleum is approaching 80% prices over cost. Despite all this, our approval rating keeps bouncing between 41% and 42%. We assume this is because of the ability of nearly everyone to get a job and the relatively even-handedness of the tax structure. Perhaps we should increase taxes more to stimulate the people to spend less, thus causing a decrease in the inflation rate and an increase in the unemployment. Or maybe not... we are still gaining a steady income into our treasury despite our constant imports of expensive uranium and the very slow increase in our military capabilities.

Feb 4, 2025---Nigeria today entered the Military Space Race with the launching of its first Reconnaisance Satellite.

May 6, 2024---All research possibilities are now researched or being researched until the next technology level is achieved. Except for the Propaganda Machine tech. That line of tech is not needed for the future so will remain un-researched. The same goes for the one unit design remaining, the N-Bomb Nuclear Bomb.

June 14, 2025---Tech Level 85

Nov 7, 2025---Building a set of 6 more missile factories seems to have little to no impact on my relations with other neighbors... Time for more to be built after experimenting with another Aircraft Factory.

Dec 18, 2025---After more than a month and the completion of an aircraft factory, I have the sneaking suspicion that the rest of the world only gets upset when you increase your land fabrications and your total military force. I will test this by building a Naval factory next.

Jan 10, 2026---Completion of Naval Fab produces no change in other nations outlook. Next step is to build a bunch of Air Fabs to see if that does it. We now have middle tech designs from the US for combat aircraft that we will build until we can get more. The same for the Naval fabs should we decide to build the full 15 that we plan on.

Feb 4, 2026---Total of 15 Aircraft Fabs built now, started with 0. No international repercussions so far such as one gets for building land fabs. Time for the Naval Fabs now since building land units is relatively quick compared to air and naval units.

May 19, 2026---Tech Level 86... 15 Naval and Air Fabs, 60 Missile Fabs. Not one change in relationships. Built 1 more Land Fab and a small but measurable change downwards in relationships. No more Land Fabs to be built until ready for the buildup to war. In the meantime am building "modern" units that are far superior to most of what is in Africa. Between the proposed Air Force consisting of 30 Multi-fighters(Super Hornets from Texas), 28 M1A3s(From Ohio), and 28 EFV-Alligator Infantry(From California) as well as the supply of missiles(Russian and USA designs) for the armed forces, we should be adequately prepared to defend ourselves should something untoward happen before we are ready for our offensives. The Naval Forces will consist of 10 Carriers(5 Wasps, 5 Reprisals once we've researched the base techs), 20 LPD-17 San Antonios(From Missouri), 10 Submarines(undecided, probably USA designs), 10 Frigates(undecided, probably Japanese designs), and 10 Destroyers(Undecided, probably Japanese designs). The combat arm of the Navy will be largely coastal defense until such time as better units can be built. Better designs will be aquired or researched as our technology allows.

July 22, 2026---Activating this many of my reserves has made an appreciable dent in the jobs market. The trend will only continue until all the manpower intensive units have been filled out and the Reserves grow back to 200k or so. This is playing havoc with my income, currently a couple hundred million/day loss. I will have to address this concern. Possibly lowering taxes and prices a bit to increase spending. This will cause problems with unemployment which is already too low, but will help increase funds. I'm also tempted to drop training costs for now. There is little need for full readiness conditions when we are this far away from war. I need to get a handle on the economy first. Granted, Unit production costs are way up there at just over 400million/day. I believe it's the 5 CVN-78 Reprisal Carriers being built that are the most expensive(4.6 billion over 620 days) of that particular budget item, but it could also be the submarines.**Mental Note--Damned things are expensive, so don't let them get blown to hell**

Nov 5, 2026---Well... UN relations are falling, as are relations with the rest of the world. The only thing I'm doing differently is slowly increasing my land forces. The air forces and naval forces are still in reserve while I put the land forces into active duty immediately. No worries yet as to being attacked, but it is becoming more likely. I'll just have to request peace when I finally do get war declared on me. That will tone down the likelihood of being attacked for quite some time and increase my standing with my allies. In the meantime, I'm just slowly building my intermediate armed forces while I wait out the years for the technology levels to catch up. Hopefully we'll start getting some techs with research bonuses soon. Waiting can be a pain in the butt. Ah well, thank God for books, chores, children, and TV.

Nov 28, 2026---Spent nearly 600 billion building up the stockpiles. I now have several years or more (1.7 trillion barrels of oil for instance) worth of operating stockpiles in everything except manufactured goods, there I only have several months worth. The economy is much more in hand now with Unemployment at a decent rate and inflation continuing to drop. Making over 400 million a day minus the continuing Uranium purchases. Apparently I have cornered the market on Uranium. I went through the top sellers as well as another 20 or 30 random nations and not a single one of them has any Uranium whatsoever. The price has remained steady at $950 since I started purchasing it.

March 13, 2027---Czech Republic is finally eliminated. The S. Germans are on a roll.

April 30, 2027---Tech Level 87 is reached. No new techs, just 4 designs to research. I'm beginning to wonder when the techs that provide bonuses will come.

Aug 7, 2027---Final Communications Satellite launched.. we already have full coverage, but it's nice to have an extra since they're so cheap. Now to finish up the Recon Satellites and wait out the years until I have the tech for the Missile Defense Satellites.

Oct 15, 2027---This is what I get for watching back episodes of Californication while waiting for Tech levels to rise up and not checking the status with other nations. Morocco declared war on me. Now to see if I can make some peace and give myself some more breathing room.

Oct 16, 2027---Peace breaks out. Hopefully we can keep it that way. I'm ready in a defensive manner, but not to conduct an offensive war.

Jan 17, 2028---Here comes the next one. Democratic Republic of the Congo this time. Attempting peace again. Still stuck at tech level 87 and still building units. I did finally build the total of 15 Land Fabs since nations were DOWing me anyways. So I've only got another 3 months before I have my full basic defensive force set up. My Offensive forces still need work. The Multi-fighters are done. The transports and carriers are still being worked on(except the Wasps, of course). Once those are built, I'll build some more Destroyers and Subs for offensive operations.

Jan 18, 2028---Peace breaks out again. I had 3 months of peace last time, lets hope we can keep it longer this time.

April 1, 2028---Third time at war(Madagascar), third time attempting peace.

April 2, 2028---Peace again. Seems like the nations attacking me are taking hits against their UN status. This is a good thing. Hopefully by the time I'm ready to move out and take over the African Continent, it'll not be hard to do it without ruining my UN status just by waiting for them to DOW me first.

April 12, 2028---Tech Level 88. 8 more techs/designs to learn but still none that give a bonus, so another year to wait. Ah well. 49 Green Beret production was begun a few days ago. When those are done, I plan on becoming a major arms supplier to Brazil to see if we can't help them reverse some of the losses they've had. I think I'll start with 15 M1A3 tanks. It'll take 3 months to build them, but Brazil has held out this long, perhaps they can hold out longer. Then perhaps some infantry, perhaps not. I'll think about it.

On another note... if the next DOW comes after I've got a few stacks of Green Berets, I'll decide whether or not to take a few cities and some territory before I ask for peace.

July 2, 2028---2nd Election. Yet again there is no need for manipulation of the populace. We received 45.2% of the vote.

Sept 15, 2028---Our last recon satellite is ready for launch. 10 or 20 more tech levels and we'll be able to start building the Missile Defense Satellites.

Jan 16, 2029---Morocco declaring war again. To fight or not to fight, this is the question. I'll get back to you on this.

March 27, 2029---Tech Level 89. No new designs, only 1 tech. Time to wait another year. Just going to keep enabling Brazil in their war and see how much a difference I can make.

May 7, 2029---S. Germany continues its slow roll through Europe with the death of Poland. East Germany took a some of Poland as well, but the war was all about S. Germany.

May 15, 2029---Egypt declared war. A bit too much of a pain in the ass to take on with my current forces, so peace it is. I'm looking for one of my neighbors to come knocking on my door.

May 16, 2029---Peace breaks out again.

June 6, 2029---The DOWs are picking up. Time for more peace-making until one or another of my neighbors DOWs... then I might do a little butt-kicking.

June 7, 2029---Peace breaks out.

June 12, 2029---Democratic Republic of the Congo this time. Still not a neighbor. Ah well. Peace is still easy enough.

June 13, 2029---Peace again.

March 10, 2030---Tech Level 90 reached. *sigh* 10 total techs and designs. Not a single one that gives a bonus. I'm beginning to wonder when they'll show up. Yet another year to wait.

April 20, 2030---Morocco again. This time I'm tired of freaking waiting so I'm sending some forces up to take some land and population, then declare peace for a few more months.

Re: Nigeria-An African Odyssey

Post by Graygan »

Apr 30, 2030---I send a few destroyers to take over ocean hexes which will be useful for ship supply once I ask for peace. The first city is in sight and the Green Berets are on the way. 5 Garrisons and a VAB wait for my 7 Green Berets to be airdropped in. The ocean transports are on their way as well. I figure by the time the Green Berets have secured the city, I'll be able to land the tanks, handful of infantry, and 14 engineers to push further on. I'm not sure how far I'll go with it, but I plan on taking several cities as well as some land.
Combat1.jpg
May 9, 2030---Muahahahahaha!!!! Morocco has realized their mistake. However, I have 7 full days to act upon this. I think, perhaps, it would be wise to take some more land/population before I take a peace offer or make one. It's a bit late now, but if I had thought a bit more ahead, I would have taken the few areas of their desert that also produce Uranium. Oh well... next time perhaps.

May 14, 2030---After gaining a tiny bit of population and a small chunk of land to assuage my hurt feelings, I have requested peace and received it. Now back to the waiting game. Though I will, of course, consolidate. I'm building a barracks and airfield on the coastal city I captured and will put in some roads as well. Casualties were light, no units lost and only 480 men down, most of them Green Berets. As soon as the barracks are done, I will fix up the Green Berets and the two tank units that took some damage. Same with the three carrier based aircraft that got a bit too close to the garrisons when circling off the carrier to attack when the airfield is finished. Many thanks to the UN Protectorate for their basing of my Transport planes during this minor conflict. They allowed me to air-drop supplies to my units in the desert before the supply creep caught up with them.

Sept 1, 2030---Democratic Republic of the Congo declares war again. Too much of a pain in the rear at the moment, so time to get some peace and another 2 or 3 months of waiting.

Sept 2, 2030---Peace breaks out again. Another few months of waiting for the next DOW and a half year to wait for the next Tech Level. Is it too much to ask for one of my neighbors to DOW me? Oh well... another time, another day.

**More waiting for now. We're caught up. I have more pictures, but they're pretty much not necessary for what's gone on at this point. Will continue the AAR when I have more to report which will likely be once a few more years have passed and I start getting techs that give bonuses**
