What was your victory condition set to? Capital? Capture command unit? or Complete?

Hm, "Fertig" = "complete", i dindt changed the victory conditions. And i had to hunt down the French behind Africa and in Southamerica. It was the first game the French decided to fight till death. Russia´s capitol moved to Vladivostok. :-( ..so i take a southern path (Iran, Pakistan, India, Myanmar and China). I had better luck with some other nations.

I take heavy losses fighting the USA. About 1/3 of all US-Forces surrenderd...and are slaughterd by the other 2/3.

Ok, its a AAR, something is missing. I havnt done pictures, cause simplescreenshot dont work well and fraps produce bmp instead of jpg.


I wantet a game with low causalitys, on my side. So i startetd with normal settings, world 2020 in crisis, 2 x very hard, diplomatic normal, and switched to very hard on the first day.

I switched my economy, following my guide.
I planned an artillery based warfare for the first years. I resaerched ballistic-range enchancements and the PzH 2005.
Military production: 14x Wiesel2 mortar 5x Eurofighter Typhoon 7x S-110A Imp and no rockets. Germany has to research rockets, later on.
My defense: No garrisions. So i need 1 Infantry in each border city, 2-3 in the hot spots. I get my tanks together, and use 1 stack against netherlands, france and poland. 1/2 stack against denmark. 1 stack reserve.

After a few days, Norway declared war. In this situation, it was the best thing what could happen. No active front and a lower CB for all nations gives me some time to strengthen my defense. I use some subs and 1 ship to capture the offshore oil rigs, and scrap them.

A few weeks later, Austria declared war. After 3 days, i could destroy her groundforces with my tanks and start to capture the citys. Austria took high civilian losses.. i lost about 4.500 soldiers.

A few weeks later, France declared war. Again, my tanks are able to destroy many units. But i havnt enough groundforces to secure a large border, so i dont invade.

A few weeks later, Czech Rep. ...I use my tanks in the first hot days, and send them back for repairs. I conquered them.

Denmark...great, a shorter border..

Belarus...no border.

I could invade france now. This front have been quiet for some time, so i get my tanks in position, conquer one hex, and destroy everything he send in my direction. After that my artillery and infantry head on, and got close to Paris. I stop here, encircle Paris by 1/2. Enough space for ~120 tank howitzers. 12 days and 80.000 tons of shells later, Paris disappered. Some M-2 Puma approch the remaining citys. After the French capitol switched around France 3 times, it moves to Saint-Denis, behind South Africa, and out of my range. I conquered the remaining europeen territory and make peace.

A few weeks later? No one want to declare war. After a while i make peace with norway and belarus. I havnt paratroopers. So Stage 1 was complete, i lost about 14.500 soldiers and conquered Denmark, Austria, Czech Rep. and most of France.. A few years of peace and prosper follow..

Stage 2.

Main targets are: SDI, at least China will use nuclear weapons. But no german citizen should die...
Research...i got techlevel 13x
A new combat style. Tanksalot...with FRES-MGS 120mm.

My new military production: 25x FRES MGS 120mm, 5x Barqah/Barhaq or PzH3, 5x 747 400ER Boeing, some subs...a waste of ressorces, and 6x Soeken6 xy-to-ship missile

In 2033-34 i got bored. So i startet a war, with Switzerland. My minister take command of all tanks. A few days later, iam at peace, again. Belgium, Netherlands, Spain and Portugal follow. Greece declared war on me. Finally, a new age begun. Ai Nations DOW me again.

My defence-minister managed a nice warfare. Overwhelming tankforces (about 2500 units a 44 tanks) win every battle in open terrain. And i choose the FRES-MGS 120mm cause it has the best close combat stats of all tanks. I move "stacks" of 100 ballistic Ary (PzH3) around to soften strong defense positions.

I started with a high inflation, but after a few weeks it drops to zero, and i had to build a lot of new fabs. The order of incoming DOW´s: Ireland, Lithuania, some small Nations like serbia/Macedonia etc., Poland, Russia, Sweden, GB, more balkan countrys. Turkey, Romania etc.

GB and France are allied, and GB managed to conquer 3 hexes. so i cant use the bridge..but i have a lot of enemys, so i decided to invade GB later. Russia is large. A hole for my forces. All my new units go south, Russia can wait. SDI shot down all russia ICBM, about 8 per year.

Economy, hard times. I need more and more ground units fabs to replace my losses and keep overwhelming forces on the larger front. I conquer regions with a low GPD/c, so i have to build a lot of fabs. My cash reserves are used up after 2 years. So 180 ground unit fabs are my limit for a while.

Special situations:

1) Russia. I conquered Moskva, the capitol moved...i conqer it 3 times, it moves to Novosibirsk. To far away. I have some XAV and still alot of wiesel to drop them near Novosibirsk. Said, done. But after higher losses the capitol moves to Vladivostok. Nearly 70% of the russia airforce is between me and the new capitol. No chance, i had to concentrate on the south.

2) Israel. Hm, Israel itself surrenderd in 2021 to an alliance of 3 neighbors. Egypt, Syria and Jordan have all active units there. I cant see any ground. I had conquered Turkey, Iran, Irak, Saudi-Arabia and Pakistan, as Jordan declared war. I dont want to risk a "few" units, so i stopped my advance in India to reinforce my front here. After Jordan has fallen, Egypt and Syria declared war...a nice battle. I just watched the losses overview. My minsiter managed a loss ratio of 1:50. After a while, the loss ratio dropped to 1:5. I stopped the game, and searched information about what is going on. then i noticed that UAE declared war, but i forgot to scrap the units i got from Saudi-Arabia....UAE slaughterd them.

3) Asia and ships. Each Asia region have a lot of ships. Every time someone surrenderd, I lost many "new" ships in the next 2 hours.

4) South Korea. 3 big tankblobs unite and killed over 1500 units within 1 week. Russia surrenderd one week and 3 capitols later.

Iam not at peace, but i havnt a hot border after russia has fallen. Time for stage 3.

Stage 3

Military fabs: about 200 tanks 50 XAV, 20 ER Boeing and 30-70 Terra Lump
I have enough tanks, and switch my production to XAV. Same with ER Boeing to Terra Lump.

Economy. 4 500 000 000 citizens. I still have to build new fabs. Sun-City style. After that, i have enough money for DEFCON 1 + max militar payments.

Sage 3 is only a mix. My defence minister still controlls all tanks, but i build up my paratroopers. I declare war on the rest of the world. Africa was no problem. I took a city with an airfield in Brasil, and build a airbrige for my tanks. 2500 tank units within 5 weeks. Some anoying situations happens. I learnd to hate ships...my own ships.

Conquer America is like a promenade. Remove the garrisions and units is work.

Stage 4

I scrap my tanks, ary and aa, only islands are left. 300-400, depends on how many Terra Lump crashes without fuel, and a few XAV conquer everything.

The game didnt track civilian losses. Ive done nealy everything to reduce german civilian losses. I never take care about enemy civilians. It wasnt my choiche to defend citys like Paris. In 1940, France declared Paris to a "open city". So tehre wasnt a fight. In my game, France decided to defend it. and Paris disapeared after 2 weeks of artillery bombardment. So Paris had 100% losses...

After i switched to a tank bases warfare, only my enemy causes civilan losses. They didnt care..

Nice world conquest, congrats! :-)

You were at the end at tech lvl 150, did you used the bipedal mechs? Do you have any pictures of them in action?

No one need the BMV series. They are expensive, have a 1-year buildtime, are waek against airforce and cant paradrop. You get the Terra X multirole fighter with 135. I prefer them, this fighter-bomber wipe out everything with low losses. I just use the XAV to get the enemy garrisions out of the container and kill them with Terra Lump.
