Problem with power

Post by chris953 »

I'm playing with Sa Africa.

I have a power production capacity of 1 189 123 000 units and a demand of 1 100 100 000 units but with a order of 100 % of capacity I obtain only 973 408 128 units .

Where is the problem ? I have money to buy petrol, coal and uranium I think and I have no shortage with this products.

Ok I try to do better to explain what I can't understand.

I play Africa campaign with South Africa.

I have a problem with my production of electric power.

My capacity of electric production is 947 259 200 units for a demand of 891 912 512 units.

I set my production level to 100 % of the capacity but the result is only a production of 875 859 456 units.

I think that electric production depend of coal, uranium and petrol and I have no shortage with this product because I think I have enough money to buy them from the world market.

So I can't understand why my real electric production is under my capacity.

Thanks for help me to understand where I 'm wrong.

I'm afraid you do have a raw material shortage......
Check this: go to the production info (pres -p-)
Click the industry... and here you wil see if there is any shortage...

Yes the screen say I have a raw material shortage, but what I continue to can't understand is I can't see if it's a raw material shortage of coal, uranium, or petrol and why there's a shortage because I get money to buy this products and wm can sell me this products.

Thanks for your help.

If you would like, e-mail me your savegame and I will take a look.

Please compress it with a program such as Winzip or Winrar

I received the savegame but cannot figure out why you're having shortages :-?

I've asked George to take a look to be sure there is not a bug here. Hopefully he can explain it...
