"OTHER" Industries

Our regular industries in every scenario are : Agriculure, Oil, Coal, Uranium, Ore, Fresh Water, Electricity, Consumer Goods, Industrial Goods, and Military Goods. In each region, one of the industries is "Other". It is meant to represent a significant industry in an area that is not necessarily common to other regions in the world. Examples of this are Timber in California, Opal in Australia, Gold and Gemstones in South Africa...

Pick a Region of the World and let us know what industry you think is most significant to it!

Actually Illegal Drugs is already our planned "Other" for Columbia.

How about computer HARDWARE for Silicon Valley, and SOFTWARE for Redmond, WA. There are some significant concentrations of human resources at these two locations (and wherever BattleGoat Studio's is located as well

)

For the Israel region: Tourism. I know, not really a commodity, but hey. Also fits for places like the South Pacific, etc.

How about sugar in the hawaiian islands or pineapples.

Cigars in Cuba is there most valuable commodity they have and sugar too. Unless you are using the OTHERS for cigars.

Hawaii... Not to sure if we are going to have a Hawaii scenario. Currently we don't call for one. (There will be a base on it though in the world scenario so that it could be used as a staging ground.)

As to Cuba... Tourism is likely the "Other" Industry as it does generate more for their economy than Cigars

I think we need to research the level of consumption in Ontario to determine the demand that the population will have. Local pubs should be a good place to start
