Hi,

I've got a transport ship that says it holds 5700 tons however it will only let me load 2x tanks which weigh 1672 tons (total 3344 tons). The ship says 1060 tons of 5700 loaded which makes no sense at all.

Shouldn’t the ship hold 3x tanks @ 5016 tons?

Also I sometimes find that transport ships on long journeys return to base half way along their route or dump the cargo in a friendly cargo and RTB. I've had a transport ship pretty much refuse to pick up these tanks, instead it just returned home and abandoned them!

Sorry if the answer is listed somewhere else on this site - I didnt manage to find it!

Scott

I'll need an updated version of the thread, but for now look to the SR2020 Transportation thread.

You're looking at the weight of the "design". Actually units carry ammo and fuel which has weight.

Yeah I was going to say, the weight of the design is just the weight of it when it is empty. Fuel and ammo add to the weight. In light of this though it would be nice for there to be more information available about vehicles, facilities, and what ever else. Weight when fully loaded with ammo and fuel would be nice to know =) among other small bits of information.

Personally, I think alot of transports should have their capacities increased for 'game-play' reasons
Loads of transports (ships & aircraft) cannot even hold a single unit (split units can get into alot more, but plenty still can't hold them)
