How many cores does SR2020 support?

Hi,

I am hoping that within 1-3 months I will be able to buy a new computer and I am considering what processor I would chose. One that I consider(besides the I7s) the Phenom X6 1090T, that contains 6 cores. I understand that SR2020 is multi core aware, but what i'm interested in is that how many cores it supports and If I would chose a 6 core processor, how would the game be compatible with that?

On my quad-core, while playing, I get activity on all 4, but it never uses the entire processing ability of any of them
I get 1 core going upto about 90% usage, and the other 3 will occasionally hit 50%
