Finally bought a hard copy of SR 2020 Gold, found out my new monitor's native resolution isn't supported in-game [1600x900]. I did some searches and found people having luck changing the registry. I found the gamerez_ tags and changed them, but my resolution in-game still won't change from what it was before. Worse yet, I can't run it in a window without massive graphical glitching most of the time. This is on a fresh install.

If you're running Vista, some keys may appear in multiple places. Search your registry for other occurrences of those keys.

Just to note in response to adding 1600x900 option in game:

Already noted for a future update. BTW, when installing the game fresh it now defaults to desktop resolution.

2048 x 1152 is also to be added.

WinXP, all I could find was 'Supreme Ruler 2020' and 'Supreme Ruler 2020 GC' listed under Local_Machine/Software/Battlegoat. I think the former directory was added when I got desperate and tried to run the registry files I found in the installation files. Got it working, found that there's no registry entry for resolution at *all*, so in the future if I get this problem should I just delete the resolution entries?

For some reason SR2020 is defaulting to my secondary monitor's resolution instead of my primary. I fixed by removing it, setting drivers to only recognize my primary and reinstalling SR2020G twice. The first time it didn't stick for some reason, and defaulted to 1024x768.

not sure about your setup, but in the registry there are two values, one for the X and one for the Y.

This pic has the registry entries in XP circled. Should help you find it/change it. You'll notice the directory is Currentuser/software/battlegoat/Supremeruler. Not sure if this is different in gold or what version you have so it may not be the exact location for you. But you can see the names which should make it easier to locate.

For long time fans of the genre you'll notice golem labs entries in my registry as well
