I can't change the names of countries
I've changed the .cvp file, and added a .scenario file with the same name, and re cached it, but it won't show the changes, if somebody could tell me what to do that would be awesome, thanks.

Re: I can't change the names of countries
Region names can be overriden in the language folders. See this link;
http://www.supremewiki.com/node/304
If that doesn't help, let me know and I'll offer more suggestions.

Re: I can't change the names of countries
There are some existing walkthroughs that go over some stuff like this;
http://www.bgforums.com/forums/viewtopi ... 48&t=16296
You should provide an outline of what you're trying to create with your mod, then I know where to help you first. We'll start with the treasury of a region.
---
Until you provide more details, I'm assuming you want a mod where a region has a different starting treasury (maybe some other data points) and has a different name. To do this you're going to need the following;
- new .scenario file
- new .cvp file
- new cache file
Start with the .scenario. Pick a name for your mod. Make a copy of Global Crisis.Scenario from \CampaignGC to \Custom. Rename the file to the name you picked such as Mrmustachieo.scenario (please let me know what you use so future posts can be more accurate).
Now open the file. Change the following lines;
<#include "GlobalCrisis.CVP", "MAPS\"> becomes <#include "mod.CVP", "Custom\">
<savfile "Global Crisis"> becomes <savfile "mod1">
<#include "GlobalCrisis.OOB", "MAPS\ORBATS\"> becomes <//include "GlobalCrisis.OOB", "MAPS\ORBATS\"> (temporary change during testing, removes all units)
Now copy GlobalCrisis.CVP from \Maps to \Custom. Rename the file to mod.CVP. Open the file and change a value for treasury.
Next, build the cache according to the instructions on the SupremeWiki. Go to Scenarios - Custom to find your mod, run it to create the cache. Rename your cache and put it in the right folder.
Post when you've done all this and let us know if you were able to follow the details.

Re: I can't change the names of countries
I'm unsure what point you're at, so I'll break it down further.
What name did you pick for your mod?
Does you .scenario file contain the following lines?

Let me know the answers to those questions and I'll post more.#include "mod.CVP", "Custom\

My mod/scenario name is Wonder world, and after i changed the .scenario and the .CVP to my liking, and change the name of them, I start the game, it shoots me to the menu, i then go to the savegame folder and rename the cache and put it in the cache folder, but when im finished, it shows no changes, what am i doing wrong?

Re: I can't change the names of countries
If the music changed, then you changed a value.
What regions did you change? Please provide both name and region ID number (for example 1188 - Germany)

Re: I can't change the names of countries
I dug up my old notes and found the bit about region names. The region names are "localized text" meaning text that is translated if the language is different so they use a different file. You need to change "Localtext-RegionsGC.csv" in the \Localize\LOCALEN\Scenario folder for region name changes.
