That said.

To change units in SR2020:
1. go to maps/data/.unit file, edit your units as you see fit

2. go to the campaign, custom or scenarios folder and open your .scenario file that your using
Rename this to what yout .unit file is named #include "DEFAULT.UNIT", "MAPS\DATA\"
Rename savfile "SR2020" to what ever you please

3. Do a recache,
a. go to your scenario in-game, click launch game and wait
b. when the game has retured to the main menu your cache is done and is located in your saved games folder
c. go to you saved games folder, rename the Cached file to the name you renamed it in step 2(savefile "")
