I am making a mod that serves an alternate storyline for 2020. Instead of the world breaking down like in the story, In this modd by 2020 the world has unified into a number of superpowers.

There is:
The American Union (USA, Canada, Mexico, Greenland)
The European Federation (Every Country in Europe except Russia)
The Russian Empire (Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan) (Dictatorship)
India (India, Pakistan, Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Myanmar)
Caliphate (All mid-east countries (forgetting the Russian Annexed ones and Israel), Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, and Morocco) (Theocracy)
South Africa (South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, and Angola)
Korea (South and North Korea)

No other countries need editing.

I would like to add a few techs and units for some of the superpowers.

If you need any more info please let me know.

What about the foreign holdings of the European regions and other regions(think Falklands, Netherlands Antilles, New Caledonia)? Independent? Is that still less than the maximum of 255 regions?

just one question ,the caliphate country is it all arab countries egypt ,syria,sudan,morocco.....etc or all muslim countries ,because i am very interested & could provide great help since i have some experience in modding this game :D ....so let me know if you want any help

I planned on leaving the holdings in the hands of the Fed as well. I don't see a need for them to be independent, but I can if it makes it harder to modd them as part fed than independents. Plus it does help the Imperial theam along.

It is a country of mainly Muslim backing. In my storyline, there is a change in the Muslim world in which they change to a more industrial/civilized lifestyle. The Cal was reformed when they saw the EU federate and Russia start taking back its former Muslim territories. It exists to serve as a bridge for a new Muslim lifestyle and to combat the threats posed by the new wave of Imperialism that is sweeping the world. I am going to post the storyline when I can get a permanent forum for the modd, wherever I can fine one. If you would like to help that would be great, but I don't know exactly what you can and could do, you will have to bounce Ideas with me for now.

Note: to whom it may concern, I will be looking at all ideas that are offered, always wanting to make a better game. 8)

K, if you could please gather up all the region IDs you want for each of those groups. Look up the IDs from the included regions list and post them here. For example;

* 1206 Greenland


Note that in the above case we use group 2999 to get all the US regions in but when doing Europe you'll need to put the pieces of the Denmark group (1298) into your EU because there is no Denmark group without Greenland. You'll need 1201 and 1207 Watch for other cases like this.

I assume we'll be working from the Global Crisis data files? I'll provide more info once you've gathered up the region IDs.

[Edit: Your Mod also needs a name such as Global Powers or something like that. I'd like the thread name to be updated when you pick it to something like "Global Powers Mod Build Walkthrough" or something like that so others know this thread has instructions.]

I have a problem, when going through the regions lists, I'm getting a snot ton of the same nations over and over. I think there are like 3 Denmarks, and 4 Russias and so on. I need help in knowing which ones I need.

if you look them up in a .CVP file you can check their grouping section to see what regions they contain, if any.

Post what you can, I can help figure out the rest.

A tip;
There are two parts to the number;XXYY. Any ID where YY are low without being zero (1-32) are "regions". Any IDs where YY are high (50+) are "groups of regions". So 1201 Denmark is just Denmark. 1298 Denmark is a group (Denmark, Faroe Islands and Greenland).
