Take it easy guys, ruges does not have to give out something he don't wan't and I know ruges's horrible feeling, I feel so to somethimes. the fact is that we modders don't have the same obligations like Battlegoat, we don't have to do what our "supporters" say, after all we are doing this work for free and mostly on our own free time, so I don't think catatonic have the right to demand that ruges give his .unit files. it's his buissnes.

If you're talking about Dragon's Rising... dont... its nearly as much a waste of money as MW2 lol
Stick to ArmA2, I love that game lol
Hell been playing BIS games since the original OFP back in 2001 lol

As for the SR2020 Mod... how long would it take for you to update it to release once you've found time to work on it again?

I knew what you meant Catatonic, My comment about being a horrible person was also a tad on the humerous side. I almost never say anything in a serious tone, more of a slap stick.

Also I was talking about Rising Dragon. Will stick with Arma2, its a good game, just needs some issues fixed with it.

As for how long it will take me, hard to say. I was working on it last night, and almost paniced, was comparing my Localtext, to the newest BG localtext, and they where so different. I thought I was going to have to go threw and re ID a bunch of my techs. when would mean having to go threw a redo a bunch of the tech prereqs and the unit prereqs, which could have been time consuming. But then I realized BGs newest localtext is the same as there older localtext, and that has allot of flaws in it (many dead techs, that where removed from the game, or assigned new tech ID's)

For instance in BG's localtext, it shows:
500 Internal Combustion Engine
501 Tank Chassis
502 Tracked Suspension
503 Inertial Dampeners
504 Quad Tilt Rotor
505 Phaser Banks

However comparing it with there tech list, those ID's are blank. Which is a good thing becouse in my mod it shows:
500 High Altitude Surveillance
501 Propaganda Machine Phase 2
502 PM Phase 3
503 PM Phase 4
504 Propaganda Machine 5
505 Propaganda Machine 6

So now I just need to go threw a few of the other files that I have changed and make sure BG did not modify there version comapred with my version. Then I also need to add in the supply depots, and research centers, Then relation cache adjust, Then create a final cache, then test. So how ever long that takes, is how long its going to take me.

As for a guistimate, I would like to have it out before New years. But I just finished a current version of my Arma2 mod, which was based of Xeno's A2! mod. I think my favorite thing is the two more HQ's I added, Well I like my AC-130 heavy bomber too but the HQ's just work so good in the mod. I will have my Olympia, Wa Dedicated server up this week if any of you want to stop by.

Tried playing your mod with the latest patch, but it's sadly not playable =(
When/if you get around to working on it, you should be aware that there's massive lag (compared to the vanilla game). There's no lag when I start (if I start with no units), but it gradually increases untill it becomes unplayable at around 6-12 months. Both a general slowing down of the game, and occasional freezing (everything stops for 5-10 secs).

I had a similar bug, it was because I had a unit that was good and by mistake only took 7 days to build. So the sourse of the lag was that everyone was spaming the map of these units. :-)

I don't think it's tied to any one specific unit, at least not the construction of such a unit. If I start with units, then the lag is there from the start. If I start with no units, the lag takes a while to show up.

Yea my mods run slower then the vanillia version. This is becouse of the way I setup relations and create the cache to make them more aggresive. which means you have more countries sending more unitsin for the attack. which means lower defcon, which means more units being built, which means more units deployed. So there ends up being allot more going on in my mod which causes the game to run slower. And I have said this many times. I prefer a game where **** is happening instead of a huggy huggy world carebears.

If your starting the game with no units, to speed it up. My mod is probly not for you. The game is probly not going to run very good at the fastest speed. exspecialy during the first 2 or 3 years. Your probly going tobe better off staying at normal speed. Even slowing it down to very slow when you yourself are doing allot of military operations. While it may take longer, the gameplay will be smoother. Dont forget the save feature. This is not your mainstream RTS that you play a game in one hour or one night. You might speed a couple days, or weeks, or even months playing the same game. Exspecialy in sandbox mod. If you really want a single night of play, dont play sandbox, play one of the scenario's (or is it campaign's? I can never remember which type they are becouse BG has em backwards).
