Hi all.
I don't know jack about modding, but I have RTFM, as you'd say.
I've read the Supreme Wiki thoroughly and only haven't figured out how to make new caches.
Don't thing I like Yugoslavia, but it just shows awesome in-game potential if you ask me.

The only prob is I can't mod worth of a dried out piece of dog turd.
Help with changing borders anyone? I'm already working on a flag, but I'm gonna need help with the rest.

without looking this up for myself, I'll ask a question... does the new region you want form completely out of some existing regions?

If so, you need to go to the CVP and make a new region (usually up around the XX99, XX98 mark... such as 1299, 1298 etc.
You can copy an existing chunk/region and make changes to name etc.

then you need to look at the region include file and pull out the regions being absorbed, and add in the new one you made.

then you make the scenario around your new files...

then you remake the cache

If, you want to draw entirely new borders... you can't do that as we haven't released a map editor to allow those changes.

Thank you for your answer, and I do indeed want to create Yugoslav federation out of existing countries, the members that formed that the federation years ago, of course.

I have seen the Supreme Wiki before but I seem to have missed the exact article on caches, it seems.

Will proceed to modding the Dream Land in 3..2...1..

Following on from this, could I put USSR back? How would I be able to use the Soviet flag in FLAGBITS?
Also, is it possible to create new regions (like North Cyprus, Transnistra etc.)?

This should be a fairly simple mod;

- make a new region group #1090 (copy 1097 to get basic data)
- make the grouping section contain the following;

- remove those regions form the .regionINCL file and save as WorldYugo.REGIONINCL

- Make a new .scenario for the map that tells it to use the new .REGIONINCL file

- Make the cache and move it from /savegame to /cache (and rename)

i did as you said and i created a new cache,but the game breaks when i try to run the scenario
i don't have time now to create new caches and discover the problem but i will do it as soon as i have time

further suggestions for compatibility as a proper mod;

- rename your new .CVP file to WorldYugo.cvp
- change the file name for the .cvp file in the .scenario I posted to WorldYugo.cvp
- put // in front of the line about .OOB till everything tests out so that your cache takes only ~5mins to make

If you get everything but the cache post it up and someone else might make the cache for you.

I failed. Hard.

I tried giving it all the time it wanted and it just won't do it. It should take two hours tops and I gave it that much for three times already. Am I missing something?

hmm, never heard of a cache file just "not completing".

Can you send me the files you're using to make the cache?
