Why minesweeping, whilst you cant even lay mines still in the game

Second what does this ahve to do with battleships?
Nothing. Or do you expect a battleship to remove mines on its own?

We use special boats made of polyesther to remove mines, to avoid damage from magnetic mines.
Do you want to see your battleship made of polyesther? Maybe a new one shot your battleship is dead unit can be made :D

I think it was my fault  my sub comments seem to be pulling us off topic. I'll see if I can clean up the thread later...

Well, a little more progress has been made.

Going to need some names soon... Gave the US a designation of BB-07. Maybe the New York? Or with all those guns should that make it Texas? ;)

I did switch the US one to Nuclear. For the R/C/E versions, what travel range should we give them? And which should rank best for fuel economy?

Also, is there any reason to NOT give the following to any of them?
- Sonar
- Sub attack capabilities (torpedos)
- ASW Helo
- Missile capacity - VLS type (cruise missiles)
- Missile capacity AS (Exocet/Styx type)

For Radar;

U - 260km
R - 180km
C - 114km
E - 250km

 Na Texas wouldn't work. Already got a Texas Crusier in the game. How about the Alaska seeing Alaska is the biggest state. Course U know I want it to be the Alabama but I don't figure it get that name. As for all the add-ons to the ships. Their going to be modern ones might as well put everything U can into them. No sense in having the big guns out with no new toys on them. As for fuel economy shouldn't nuclear ones be better? (not sure one that) If so then give them a very long range except China sense its their first BB.(not sure on the numbers though sense its all metric :D )

Only the US one is nuclear, it is the other three I was more asking about.

Why make only the US one nuclear?

Russia has proven to be able to make very capable and big subs with nuclear propulsion!
Europe is the same! No sense in making the US one better.
I think they must be made more the same, indeed one respect china's one iwll be a lot cheaper but less 'high-tech'.

Why is the spotting range of the US one 10 km better? Highly dubious as stated earlier: the Netherlands have a very good radar system right now, which even the US doesnt!

Last i dont think this one should be in on the ship. - Sub attack capabilities (torpedos)

Why have them have torpedo tubes? no sense. Such a big ship will rely on subs defending alongside with ASW chopper, those should be able to land in its deck somehow! Short deck aircraft!

It's the latest one tech year wise, within one to two tech levels the other regions will get Naval Electric versions. I'm not convinced nuclear is better, it makes for more expensive ships and longer build times. And the US are already using nuclear everything

I see no reason that they can't be diesel and still be at least as good.

First let me say I hate figuring out radar ranges...

As mentioned before, we clip radar ranges from their "stated" range. The US one is assumed to have the AN/SPY-1D (listed as 463km) which we clip to 260km. That is part of the Aegis system. The European one I assumed the AN/SPS-52 (listed as 450km) which we clip to 250km. That is the same radar as on the Italian Audace or French Tourville. The best Dutch radar I've seen is the DA-05 (listed at 165km) which we clip to 107km. If you'd like to suggest a better system...

Sounds reasonable, I'll give each of them stats that reflect an ASW helo onboard.
