Selling redundant military units

I have been given to understand that it is possible to sell military units
superfluous of requirements, as it was with 2010, but I cannot I cannot find
how to do this. I believe that I am running the latest up-date (6.8.1)
I would have expected the "sell" option to be under the Unit Command icon.

Advice anyone?

It is a Diplomatic function and you can only sell units that are reserved.

Sorry, but I am still having no success in selling military units. If I try the "Diplomatic"
route as suggested, I find that I can give away units to sweeten a deal only.
How do I get hard cash for my superfluous units?

I am not sure how to answer that, you just add them to the window like anything else and then click on the other parties "maximize Offer" icon. The amount of money they will offer will pop into the Items Requested window. Basically it is a trade like any other trade.

If this is not clear enough, and I am not even sure why you are having difficulty so I may not undertand the exact issue, please list step by step what you are doing to initiate the trade.

Issue sounds simple he does not know how to trade. Sounds like he knows how to add the units but does not know how to add the cash to it. Which can be done either adding it manual or clicking on the maximize offer.

To OP what you are having difficulty with is fairly simple in terms of the game. These forums have some of the best search features I have seen on any forums. And pretty much everything has been talked about so you are bound to find somthing you have a question too already answered. Infact the exact same question you are asking now has been answerered before. There was even a nice little picture with red circles on the buttons you want to push.

General, you very right : "I don't know how to trade" I have been playing 2010 for several years and only commenced
2020 a few weeks ago. In 2010, selling superfluous units was simply conducted under the Unit Control panel. In 2020 it
is somewhat different. Before commencing 2020 I did read the Wiki guide, but trading or selling military units is not
covered. I believe I understand how the proceedure should function : I pick a country I would like to sell them to
(Poland for example) open the "Diplomatic Exchange" window, and place the units in the "Items Offered" window.
Their "Offered Value" is now shown. But I am unable to enter any value in the "Requested" window. I cannot find the
"maximize offer" function that you mention.
I am obviously being very stupid, but for the life of me I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

A 67 year old retiree would much appreciate your advice. And btw, I do agree with you, you have an excellent search
feature, but even using that I am unable to find the answer.

You can't see it before selecting the "trade"(can't remember the exact name) button (it is circle no. 2 in the picture below).
Well if this doesn't help you are experiencing a bug of some kind
