Satalite problem
Most probably a stupid question, but how does one launch a satalite?
I have 2 available for launch. but under the status of "launch pending"
What does launch pending mean? And pending on what?
I'm new to 2020, wfter spending a couple of years playing 2010. Both
have pros and cons. I'm still not sure what I prefer
Good luck

Re: Satalite problem
As far as I know, you need a Launching pad to launch satellites.

Re: Satalite problem
In addition to having the ability researched you also need the following;
1. Orbital Launch Pad
2. Mission Control
3. Aerospace Fabrication.
This three facilities, once built, will allow you to launch sats.

Re: Satalite problem
I have carried out your 3 suggestions:
1. Orbital Launch Pad
2. Mission Control
3. Aerospace Fabrication.
But still no joy! Do I need launch physics as well?

Re: Satalite problem
Well, if all 3 buildings are built and operational, the satellite will be launched when you press "launch satellite" and after few days you will receive a message saying "satellite launch successful"
If that doesn't help, (assuming you have ability to build satellites) I don't know what is wrong

Do you have the technology, "Satellites", researched?

Re: Satalite problem
"Satalites" has been researched, so it's not that. Passing the cursor over the launch button
produces the message "Launch Pending". Why, if their were anything missing, would AI be
advising me that I have a satalite available for launching??? This makes no sense to me...

Re: Satalite problem
So, for how long does it stays "Launch Pending"? Nothing happens when couple of days pass?

I'd add that I think you need money as well. If you don't have the cash, you don't fly

Re: Satalite problem
The only other thing I can think of is for you to actually check the hex where those three facilities are built, ensure they are "turned on" and are in a functioning state.
If that is not the issue, then I am at a loss. Only step I could think of after that would be to post your save here and let us physically see whats going on.
