I'd like to supply the units I'll be invading Syria with shortly by air via SuperHercules aircraft. How do I order them to supply the unit groups I assign them to? I'm sure there has to be some way to have them circuit between the units in the field, and my own territory without having to micromanage them as well.

Micromanage or let ai do it. I would do it myself and leave ai off. Resupply has some issues, one of the largest is, when you order a plane to ESCORT a ground unit or stack of ground units, it will not return to base to resupply once the supply is gone. The plane will just keep flying until it needs to refuel.

Basically, your best bet is doing it your self in my opinion.

They do, BUT, the plane will take off again as soon as it is refueled. In many cases this is before it has reached its load capacity for supply. Meaning you may get a plane escorting a ground unit without supply. The darn thing will just keep circling till it needs more fuel then repeat. :(

Edited for clarification: Any unit sitting in a supplied hex will load supply. They load at different speeds though, as you can imagine the larger the cargo hold the longer it takes to fill it.
