that is strange. Can you send me the savegame please?

And if you have a savegame from a bit before that happened, would also be helpful. Thanks.

That's the message you get when you have a mutual defense treaty with another nation and war is declared against them. You will get that message even if you later on go to full alliance.

The UN declares war against alot of nations, I've found. Problem is that the UN has no units or land, so they can't build any units. Not to mention that the UN goes into debt almost immediately and it only gets worse. The UN usually declares war against nations that are world pariahs and if you're playing high or very high volatility, there are a lot of world pariahs.

You do not have to go to war against whomever attacks the nation you have the mutual defense treaty with. There isn't even a diplo hit for not declaring war. However, you will get more Casus Belli against the nations that attack your mutual defense partner.

All the various campaigns have a UN faction. They're the ones that own all the international waters. The UN doesn't own any land that I'm aware of, though.

sent u save game now chris.
also, if u have the time to look at it. i just discovered another problem with my industry. im gettin a couple of new industry goods factories almost everyday, but nothing is happening with my cap. im at 84,741 and have been for at least the last 5-10 industries plants that have been built. shouldnt my cap increase with roughly 1000t with each plant?

edit: just finished 1 ind facility now, and my prod cap went from 84,741 - 84,752.... that cant be right???

Are they activated?

The max capacity should increase by an amount based upon the supply level of the hex the factories are built in. Low supply means low increase.

*shrug*

Not sure what to tell you. At the point in time when the UN declared war, Lebanon must have incurred the wrath of someone. It sucks to be Lebanon in that case, though. They'll be unlikely to ever make peace with the UN, thus they'll always have to be stuck at a minimum of DefCon 3 which is a drain on the economy.
