umm... you sure?

As much as I'd love to be able say "great, it's in", even I need to see proof first. Can you send me a savegame so I can figure out what has happened?

Where can I find the saves? They are not in the savegame folder....this was an issue in some other thread....so where can I find them? :-)

BTW...it might just be a ship getting some hexes..but it seems little too deep into the land...so if it was just that, sorry for the false alarm...

You should check it, just to make sure anyway.

You're savegames should be there (mine are). If you go to the other thread I listed how to find in the registry your savegame location.

Here's the info;
Balthagor wrote:If you are comfortable looking in your registry, there is a Key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/BattleGoat/Supreme Ruler 2020 section that is "SaveGame Path" that will tell you where they are. (you can also use this to change the path...)

Well it does say "savegame\" in the registry....this is rather wierd...
It must be a Vista thing...

Just tell me the three letter ending of the file and i will find it...like *.sav etc. :)

More question than answer....

SO, if we are to understand the AI is incapable - or believes it is - or impossible to conduct amphibious operations, I wonder why this was left off the game....

maybe just a case of a 'bridge too far' in getting certain capabilities into the game before released deadline?

Seems a shame, because if the AI is playing several of the major powers available, they all do have amphibious ships and naval infantry capable of such operations - hence why have them if the AI does not use them?

Certainly the Russians would use them against anyone they were hostile to.

I would be extremely worried if the AI conducted an overseas invasion when the game designers have said its not programmed to do so.

Images of nuclear holocaust and then rampaging endoskeletons spring to mind. :o

What's the other?

I think that if an AI can't attack a nation then it shouldn't declare war on it in the first place. I remember in SR 2010 how it made no sense that the entire world declared on the U.S. and never actually engaged in any sort of warfare. At the most they should embargo the U.S,, not declare war. How exactly do you make peace with a nation who declared war on you overseas?

Does anyone know what the appendix of the saves is...is it *.sav or what is it?....well if it is.. then i don't have any saves on my machine HUH ....even though i can load them up everytime. I guess Vista has its issues even with SR2020....thx!

They are .sav files

If you didn't change your default install options, your files are in C:\Program Files\Paradox\Supreme Ruler 2020\Savegame.

Vista Save Game Folder

Post by twiedrich »

Vista does differ in whrere it puts the saved game files, look in

"C:\Users\Ty\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Supreme Ruler 2020\Savegame"

Substitute your user name for "Ty" which is mine.
