More playability wishes....
It would be truly awesome to be able to tag hexes with reminders or to-do list items. It might work something like right-click: note. You'd select a hex, select 'note' and add text to a list of strings. When you look at the list of reminders, a blue hex-select circle would highlight the hex [as it does when you are looking through a facilities list].
If I needed to enumerate reasons - here's the main thing. Frequently you notice things that need to be remembered, or actions that need to be taken, but for various reasons they need to be deferred. Then, three days later [real-time] you vaguely remember, "hey, there was that bridge I needed to build, or a unit that I wanted to relocate, or what was it, and where was it?" The tag of course need not have any relationship to the hex per se - you could just use it as a general to-do list. This would certainly cut down on my post-it budget.

Same it could useful especillay as I often when at school will ahve gaps of more than a week between play sessions, and often lose my train of thought!
But it isn't that important, it is on the would be nice list, not the very important (AI, amphibs!)

It could be useful to have a notepad in the game; but how could it work?
How large should the notes be on screen?
Flashing, to be noticed?
Always opened, so covering the map behind? or transparent, so quite not readable? or minimized? And where should it be minimized?
And what about the position of the hex it refers to, before minimizing?
I prefer devs stay tuned on other aspects, before trying this kind of add-ons.
And YES, it could be a future add-on (anyone here knows Firefox "Extensions"?) if the game-program structure will be quite "open".
