Post by Baloogan »

Will we have charts of data as a function of time?

Ah, it's good to see some of the old requests coming back. :-)

Again, graphs of development would be a welcome addition.

Which ones do you want to see? Can you list them in order of priority? We may not have graphs again, but if we do put some in, we won't be having them for every element of the game.

So throw some examples out there...

One thought I had was to have a simple timeline for Declaration of War and Elimination of Region. May 2020 - France declares war on Spain. July 2021, Spain Eliminated. (Disclaimer ... by mentioning this idea, doesn't mean it wil appear in the game)

Your thoughts?

- Income/expenses
- Inflation
- Unemployment
- DAR/MAR
- Emi-/immigration/population
- Export/Import (per goods and money)
- GDP
- CB (yours/other regions)
- Mil. efficiency

No priority but with this list you can monitor the effects of your actions/decisions....

well, it's grahical but it's also diplo:

I'd love to have an X-Y matrix selection to pick off two regions and see the current diplo data (dip/civ/cb,etc) for

region x -> region y region y -> region-x
region x -> you region y -> you
you -> region x you -> region y

shouldn't be too hard to do.
Colorless green ideas sleep furiously [but otherwise, they do not worry and are happy].

Just general comparative data would do me, Rome total war style would be enough. General economic, military etc growth and recession. I would use more detailed economic comparisons to see how other countries economies are getting along.

What are your most desired graphs? In game / after game review? How much history - 1 month, 6 months...etc. What are you trying to gain from having charts and graphs? what do it add to gameplay? does it give you more information to base decisions on? are they just nice to look at?
