One thing I think would be cool if it was implemented would be more development of the human cloning tech. Mainly what Im thinking about is maybe an excelerated human cloning tech that would allow for clones to be made quick and battle ready (Attack of the Clones style . This would let countries discontinue their draft and start using clones to fight wars. You even put a new building into the game...cloning centers. These would put out a certain number of battle ready troops each day/month.
--Granted this is a little advanced for 2020 (probably) you could put it at the end of the tech tree so you would be researching it around 2030-35 or something like that.

Lighter weight could mean less supply use per shot in game right ?

Nope. Satellite bombers. Truly, USA plans to install propelled tungsten arrows which would survive re-entry into earth and reach terminal velocity while being intact.Balthagor wrote:I assume those are satellite killers. 2010 had no such techs, we've got notes for some of these for SR2020 but if you've got a link, feel free to post it here.
Can you imagine the kinetic force? Like a meteor. Plus being a long, tungsten and incredibly pointy arrow.

Do satellites exist in game? never launched these. Why not simply add them in game as air units, but simply coding them so that they can't be seen by anything but with appropriate technology, having unlimited fuel, and attacked shot down with only satellite killer missiles?Balthagor wrote:Oh right, those! Yeah, I've heard of them, saw them in PopSci last year. This sort of thing is not likely to be in the game, all of our units exist at 70,000ft or lower. We don't have an orbital view and it would be a problem with a cylindrical world. (we don't do spherical).
I am studying Java only fresh so I don't have knowledge with coding.

Dagnabbit!! I want my rebar launching satellites!
I mentioned this weapon a while back Khan, but I could not recall what it was to be made of. Only that it was described as long metal bars similar to rebar.

I don't think it is unbalanced. It is merely a higher level of warfare, I'm sure you folks can calculate a useful pricing system and countermeasure for it.Balthagor wrote:This sort of thing has been suggested before, usually we've seen it as causing too many problems for game balance and such. Don't have my notes handy...
(Yes, there are satellites in 2010, in a somewhat abstract way)

For SR2020 we're doing three kinds of synthetic petroleum - Coal based, Agri based and Other - this would either be Agri or Other. Too specific for us to model it out. Our techs are supposed to be more broad based discoveries. The Khan wrote:DO WANT. Please add this as a three step research. The bacteria first, the prototype bacteria plantation second, and Hydrogen facilities 3.

this means SOUTH AFRICA must START with synthetic petroleum we where the first to turn coal in to fuel and the first to turn gas in to fuel
