I see that 2020 at one time was for sale on Steam, does anyone know why it was removed? Also if anyone has a extra copy of 2020 in their Steam account still I would be willing to trade for it.

The game has since disappeared from their list, you'd have to ask Steam...

You know I have had 3 people over the last month ask me about geting gold on steam. I point them to gamersgate, but the steam fools want it on steam. BG, you guys might want to see whats taking so long. I know its a penny pincer tittle now, But I would say building up a larger fan base is more important.

We have no direct contact with anyone at Steam, no idea how to move this along...

Guess you need to go to your publisher and say WTF. I mean really, it looks to me like Paradox hates you guys. Did one of your team sleep with the presidents wife or somthing?

Meh its probably retaliation for not making SRCW a steamworks game. How dare BG give their users a choice. Probably why the non steam version of Magicka was cancelled.

But no seriously.. Paradox has issues with steam even with their own games. The Vicky 2 patches on steam were released weeks after they were released elsewhere, so its not specific to BG. But paradox has since decided all its games will be steam required, so they may be neglecting those devs who didn't jump into that mind set.

And a year later its still not availible. To me thats just throwing money down the drain. Sure I dont think you guys would have goten rich off of it. But the more people you bring into the series the better future sales are.

This matter was entirely in Paradox's hand, there was nothing we could have done on our own.

And what about now? At first I thought it was just a delay in geting the keys to them. But now it seems like Paradox has forgeten the game. I think 2020 is still viable in the market place, It just needs to be availble. Steam is one of those places that really helps sell older tittles. have you read the article in PC gamer about steam sales? One developer said they sold more copies this year then they did on release threw steam sales. Sure they where only averaging 1 copy a day during slow times, and when steam had there summer sale they would get a huge influx of buyers. But even after the sale ended they would continue to see a huge rise in sales at normal pricing.

2020 is one of those games that has not been replaced yet in the market place so it should still be availible. And to reiterate, not only to make the money on the sale but to awareness out there about your game for future tittles. You could end up with two sales as one who would buy 2020 and likes it would probly end up buying CW after. Even vise versa people who play CW could even go and get 2020 after.

I just think you guys are missing out on profits. Profits that can be used to make ME a better game. after all, its all about me. Get on paradox about geting it back on the list.

Paradox currently hold distribution rights for SR2020. They have told us previously that they have been unable to get any interest from Steam. Steam has little interest in titles like ours from developers like us. This is a topic to bring up in the Steam threads, the ball is in Steam's court...

Well steam has introduced this new feature called Greenlight. Where steam members get to vote on games that are sold via steam.

Quote:
I know of a game that should be here. What do I do?
Go contact the game developer and suggest that they submit their game here for consideration.

Granted as you say paradox has the distribution rights for it so it should be them that submits it to steam, or give you the authority too, should they deem it to much work to do themselfs.
