IIRC I actually beta-tested SR2010... however, I couldn't dedicate enough time to it and forgot about it until I heard about SR2020 being released... just can't really say where
Being a fan of the gender and constantly looking for challenging games and simulators, i searched the web found a ling for this geo-polital games in wikipedia, checked a demo of supreme ruler 2010, called something like "mess with the US and die" or so. After that i was going to get it for sure. A week later, when i finally prepared to buy SR 2010 i found that there was a SR2020, I think i ordered a couple of day later.
I worked previously for George (lead programmer) and David (lead designer) at their computer store. I worked with Chris too. I was a weekly tester (Chris brought me out to game nights) and was eventually offered a job. I joined the team 7 years ago near the end of SR2010's development. I am excited when I do see Supreme Ruler on store shelves... and on all the digital download sites.
I think I found 2010 when browsing gamezone reviews, many moons ago. (can't believe I remembered that)
I played a pirated copy (sorry guys, I was a young, thrifty lad at the time), but finding it to be quite a hog and a tad buggy, I didn't play it for very long.
The concept was so up my alley however, that I remembered the game, and one day a few years later I went searching for a sequel, but unfortunately I had forgotten the title.
I was sure it was Supreme Commander, so it took some digging to find my way back to the actual title, but my efforts were rewarded when I found a preview for 2020.
I bought it on release, played it for countless hours, and now I'm hooked on BattleGoat.
I was over at my gaming buddy's place and saw him playing it. I didnt start playing right away but now that I picked it up I'm hooked! also really love Hearts of Iron 2. I usually play as Poland and manage to survive most of the time now.
Lost control and went off the steep learning curve.
