Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
Hello sorry if im not clear in my question. If any country i.e AI controlled or my controlled country, occupy another country. What happens to the factories and mines etc belonging to that country. Are they destroyed or do you take over running all those facilities in that country. Im just interested to know what happens when you take over another country and its resources. I hope this is clear now thanks.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
conquest is done on a map hex scale, not on a "whole country" scale. If a hex contains industries when you take it, those industries take some damage (more if you soften the target with artillery first) and they begin to repair immediately. As long as they are online they will produce an amount based on condition (health), supplies, efficiency and loyalty. When offline they produce nothing but repair faster. Once repaired, loyalty is the only affect that will make them different than facilities in your initial territory (assuming similar supply situations).

Hello thank you for explaining that. One final thing on this. Does one ever occupy a country by taking its capital? Or by any other way?

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
As said, you cant occupy a country. You conquer one hex after another. And some times, the enemy surrenderd. The condition for a surrender is your choice. If you start a game, you can select "complete" or "capitol".
Capitol - you just have to take his capitol, and he will surrender
Complete - you have to break his will to fight, take the capitol helps, but if the AI think she can continue, she just select another city as capitol. Go ahead and destroy the enemy civilian and military approval rating.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
Has the formula for how many supplies are displaced by missiles been changed for GC?
If for eg I load a single SS-N-19 onto a Kirov, the supply stats change to 426/0, combat time is 255/253.
If I load a second missile, the supplies go completely and my cruiser is now a sitting duck. This happens for every ship. Is it just me?
Other than this I'm very happy so far.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
more info please.
I just tried launching as Russia, deployed one Kirov. It started with 426/426 supplies. When I sent one missile to it the value became 419/419 which matches the 7 tonnes of the SS-N-19. Next missile it became 412/412, Then 405/405.

Happens in every GC scenario, every country, every platform, every missile. Doesn't happen in vanilla SR2020.
To be honest I've tinkered so much with the base-game that its almost certainly something I've done. I'll try a fresh install.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
Cant find the thread about the new "stars" that show capital location and region orientation towards you the player,so feel free to move this to it.
Im not sure how the new system is supposed to work, but i just came across this.
If a region breaks its alliance treaty with you, but you choose to not break yours with them in return, the star for them still shows as blue, even though they no longer consider you their ally.
Not sure whats supposed to happen here, but this could be confusing.....

This map shows how much more localized wars seem to be staying now.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
There are new techs and units up to tech level 160+. Probably nothing new after 170.
