Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
Hello the other two things im interested about this expansion if anyone has noticed. First when the AI does an amphibious landing is it able to follow up that landing with reinforcements later on within that area of the initial landing zone? Also can the AI do airborne landings in anyway yet; i.e by helicoptor or aircraft? Im just curious how advanced the AI is yet thanks.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
All the landing attempts ive seen so far failed big time.
For one thing, ive noticed most of the ones ive seen tried to take an enemy pier and land there.
Problem with that is, theres often subs sitting at piers
And once under attack, ive noticed the enemy air force usually jumps them also.
The ones ive seen attempted, simply didnt have enough protection to pull it off.
Now that said, the AI is much more protective of its own territory than many players have been in the past,so it might catch a player who hasnt adjusted to the threat off guard....
Id say its a good first step.Add in some AI generated hotspots to the landing area for air units and naval units, and the its success rate should improve. At least as far as getting troops ashore goes.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
I have only witnessed one invasion, U.S. vs Cuba. The 1st assault was right in the middle of Cuba and they cut the island in two before it bogged down. The second assault hit the eastern end and took it pretty easily. They had minor trouble with partisans while assaulting the capital city. Does not look like Cuba will hold out much longer. I have seen some hitches with it though. The U.S. has 2 dozen or so tanks stuck in Key West. Looks like they tried to drive down the road to Cuba
I havent seen an air assualt yet.

Enter key works to accept new name when renaming units of BG...
Thanks George! The game is now a step closer to become a word processor!
Now if only the cursor keys work...

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
just got it yesterday
so far so good
I did one thing to test it out. I tried a multiplayer game as usa, declared war against Spain, Portugal and Egypt. I saved and reloaded as Italy. Just waiting to see what will happen. I haven't really seen the US move there forces in that direction. But I haven't had time to play for more than a hour. How long you think it will take for US to mobilize and attack across the world?
we be trying tonight
thank you for keeping with up with the work.

That works for renaming units, battle groups and when saving a game. It was a very last minute addition to the game.Draken wrote:Enter key works to accept new name when renaming units of BG...

Nice to see Western Sahara independent. Not that Morocco will like it .
Andorra is also independent in the expansion.
Now, if you (BG) would please give the city of Ceuta back to Spain (where it belongs, the same as Gibraltar is english) than this part of the map would be perfect .

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
Hello has anyone noticed if an AI run country or region occupies another one. Are they able to takeover and run the economy and build an army there for their own ends. I hope this question is clear for you out there thanks.

@Gonzar, that areas is just too small to model in game, it would give Spain much to large an area in Morroco. We don't model Monaco for the same reason.
@Roland040 - I think you mean something like puppet states, that is not a feature of either the core game or the expansion.

Re: Some new things in Global Crisis
Hello i guess you can call it that. So what happens to a country once its been occupied by another? Its population and economy, doesnt the occupying power benefit from occupying other countries? Im just curious to know how this works in this game thanks.

Perhabs i dont understand the question.
Your polulation generate a demand on goods. You can only build industry in owned territory. Since GC there is one differenz between conquered and starting territory, your industry get a 25% production penalty in unloyal hexes.
