Infaltion above 1000%?

Post by BG »

Well here is the thing.
In one of the games i played i managed somehow to have an inflation of above 1000% a GDP/c of several hundreds millions plus earning trillions in the budget.
At the same time DAR was 100% and research eff. more than 350% and going up.
The game ended in a way that all techs disappeared(it was showing tech level 0) and i had no money at all and GDP/c 0.
Any comments?

I can do this normally now.Especially if I concentrate on a research driven economy.

There is also a bug that cuases the numbers to go alittle goofy-this usaully occurs after the reccommened time period of play is passed for a scenario.
But i "think" there have also been some people who encountered it earlier.

I know the devs are looking at the bug , i dont know if they are looking to tweak the run away economy ( inflation , gdp/c,etc..)

Now the bug and the run away economy have a different end effect.

The bug pretty much ends a game as it eventually does to the AI and player what it did to you.
It seems to break the number scale for the affected regions and make all thier numbers 000,000,000 and their dar and mar as low as negative 1.

However, the run away economy doesnt end this way, at least not that ive seen with over 30 years of playtime in a given scenario.
The increase is much slower in the run away economy than in the bug.Which i think is what stops it from breaking the number scale.

It sounds like you have encountered the bug.

you might want to list more details about the experience.
The scenario- how long into- the region you played-etc..

Well thats logical .... inflation = monetary depreciation....

But your last point... disappearing tech's.... :-?

This is all the same bug. Once the game becomes corrupt, many values will no longer report properly. As Tkobo mentioned we are working on this issue.

I played the 1st senario from Greece campaign. The one with Bulgaria which is a complete victory senario and has no end data visible.BTW i have seen also that althought the birth and immigration reach a totall of 500.000 and deaths plus emigration no more than 150.000 there is no change of population even in the 1st or 2nd year since start. Why is that,a bug maybe?

Yup. Another known issue that is being looked at/ worked on.

Although oddly, i do sometimes get population growths that match what i should be getting. But its damn rare and i cant say why it happens .
