North America Economy in the World Map

Post by BlindEmperor »

Has anyone played through the world map as North America with any success? I have probably played about 8 times as NA and can't seem to fully balance the economy. With no world market, it seems impossible. Send HELP!!!

Yes, im in it now.
Though i got to it thru the campaign,so I would quess there would be a difference in the techs, resources,production,etc...

I found you can become completely self sufficient in my game in that region.
But techs have alot to do with it.Ive had treasuries as high has 120 billion.
With 3 billion coming in a day to it.

Synthetic oil and ore are big keys.As is building enough coal mines.
Fusion plants are a big help also.

Yeah, when starting from the default map (not the scenarios), there is no where near that level of technology researched.

Yeah, 2020 and NA is still tech level 105... that should be taken into account, and the world map should start all territorys with 5-10 tech levels higher.

Have you reduced your build capacity in your bases? shut off those little ones - stop building so many land units... If this helps, then start to activate some until you see a balance take place.
