naval fuel cells...
Does researching and implementing Naval fuel cells reduce the range of nuclear wessels?

Isn't it just a batacitor? Kinda hard to get even the energizer bunny to keep goin and goin for over a million miles...
Not complaining, just making sure I'm not going to hamstring my navy if I research it.

lol Trekker...not Trekkie
Thanx for the confirmation on the fuel cells. Unlike some on these forums, I don't have conniption fits when a tech doesn't correspond exactly to reality. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know diddly about large scale fuel cell technology or their possible applications. Hell they may be capable of it someday, but it seemed pretty wild to me that a battery could replicate the power potential and endurance of a nuclear reactor. Then again, when I play a Star Trek game, I don't lose any sleep because the science behind transporter beams is farfetched. I play my games by the rules as presented to me, not by any set of my own preconceptions I try to impose on the game. Some people will live longer and spend less on blood pressure medication later in life if they learn to relax a little more along those lines.
