Is anyone still capable of finishing the tech tree

Post by tkobo »

in like a month of play ?

The change in research efficiency seems to have slowed down research alot.
So im curious if anyone is still able to simply burn thru the tree at an unreasonable rate .

Is that a real month or a game month??

I've noticed research seems much slower than it was...I suppose that's a good thing...but keeping efficiency up to 100% is somewhere between impossible and a nightmare...

However, playing the demo I don't really need to look long term for research and I'm now able to trade for some key items...

Hahhahaha. A game month. A month of ingame time for a region.

Starting at around 30 billion in the beginning of the scenario, and eventually getting to 100 billion dollars to research a day, and it took me maybe 6 months to a year of in game time to get to tech lvl 124(which is about where the last of the tech is) and all the good research included.

The key thing is that efficiency will no longer hit +400% it seems. Highest I could take it was about 170%.

I could finish the tech tree in a real month of playing, but a game month :o ??

Ok, so I'm still stuck with the demo, and in my current game as Paris I might be able to speed up research a bit (I've just cut back from $1b per day) but I doubt I could get anywhere near about 10-15% of what I could research now...

I feel lucky if I can finish one tech in a game month!

I'm still a minnow in a big sea!

100 billion a day in research ??? WOW !

Thats extreme. You obviously know how to really tweak your economy.

Six months to a year of game time seems alot more reasonable.

Hehe, I like testing all the limits of the game and working in reverse from there. :) Rather than starting at bare bottom and going to the top. That way I know exactly where I need to go, and how to get there. :)

Actaully i been able to put 2 billion a day into research but it took building more research centers to get there. And besides i got over a 100 trillion right now. And i have got my eff up to 180% once but it sits most of the time at 175%

i always get tricked into them :D

gettign through africa is tough though. Those are soem distances, thinkign of doing a sealanding near their capital, Maybe if i take that he doesnt want to move it and i have conquered them. My 3 spearheading assault groups run out of petrol every time they advance a few hexes.

To little supply trucks and i dont want to keep on manually moving them up and down, and setting the slider above 0 so they can take some selfactions, means pooring out reserves and all kinds of weird moves i dont want.

Paying of russia helps me out of another war for now

That would be it, after i take africa i take a break of a few years and tehn build some techs and good units :D

I want to start a war by nuking first wonder how that will turn out? My research is done. Got nothing else to do but declare war on someone. But i think i do differnet than everyone else. Take south america out first then start a 2 front war with europe and asia. that way if i suceed then i have 2 armies moving to meet one another some where in russia. I have enough ships, planes and ground units to do it. Maybe take out the oceanias too so i have a base for my airforce in the pacific. The problem i'm having is i can't develop a good enough tactic. But anyways.
