Even though i don't have the game yet my strategy for the road to Huntsville is finally planned out all i need is the game to see if it works. So when Operation Dixie Freedom is a go (get the game) I'll tell how everything went. Got me where the operation name came from. Anyways by Saturday hopefully I can let everyone know about it. And I hope ppl tell about their experience even u cpt.brit. Mp waits for u. And for those that don't know where or what Huntsville is. Its a major city i guess u call it in the North part of the Alabama of United States of America. A game scenario had Tennesse invade Alabama to the north side of the Tennesse river which is in Alabama and Huntsville is actually Tennesse's city now. And I live in Alabama. So this scenario could be personal.

Please give us AAR so I have something to wait for while my game is in the air :) .. it will probably take a week/4 days or so from ebgames to a small country like Norway I guess.

I think i should have named the topic something like Road to Nashville. Bama already controls Huntsville. Anyways. The scenario pits ten bama and georgia up aganist one another but the only 2 that might fight is ten and bama. Don't know any details about ten and georgia but bama's only true abundant resource is timber and it got money and dp problems that u only got 2 years to hopefully fix and u still have to conquer the scenario by total conquest which be hard or by a unify vote which i doubt is possible with the ten's around. Tough. Operation Dixie Freedom was a success pushed the tens all the way out of bama. Wasn't that hard really did it mostly with garrison . Anyways. The bama army is in a bad kind of way to try and take over the world with but hey i didn't want it easy. First i set up everything i didn't want to run myself and shut down mobile. i was set on just war. Even declared war in the first few days had to wait to some of my units were on the ten river. The hard part was getting across at 2 points through Huntsville and at Muscle Shoals. Used the f-16, Uh-60, Ah-64 to try a bomb some but i knew i had to use the grunts so i did. After i got across the tens used an abram and 2 or 3 apc's on me. Think i overwhelm em with the infantry. Pushed the tens all the way past the bama ten border that is the state lines now. Stop there and entenched my units in a defensive line so i could get some tanks and light infantry built up. Then had about 4 or 5 m1 and 6 or 7 light infantry and with my money hurting and my dp was about 30 something. i made a run to Nashville with the tanks and humvees . Sad to say didn't take it. I never planned to invaded that far. But anyways that my experience so far. Liking the game alot. Maybe i need to plan Operation Due Justice before i can take Tennesse out.

The first time around was a test of Operation Dixie Freedom was a success but had problems not enough good units and supply problems. And Operation Due Justice is finally plan out it calls for speed and overwhelming force. Another words "Blitzkrieg".

So i went back and changed somethings. First when i got everything already automated and then built better units like abrams and light infantry before declared war. As well as some A-10's they were helpful. I waited until i had at least 3 tanks and 3 humvees to use as the main assault. The date was june 3rd. (remeber that date u'll c y) The garrison Ten had no chance i minor deaths compared to whole battlions of the ten's being wiped out. Built more Light Infantry because i learned speed is was needed to get to Nashville. Had 3 groups of 3 Light Infantry each in a 3 prong attack one going straight to Nashville through the middle and the other 2 going at a north east and north west path. The middle had resistance from an abram apc, some bridger, and an attack helio so i moved the abrams i had up and a AA hercules to support them. As the A-10 i finally got. The NE group had moved all the way around Nashville and even conquered its outlined towns the NW west group i moved to take some industries then back to surround Nashville. The mid group finally broke through and was sitting just out side Nashville when the NW group finally got into place. I attacked Nashville with everything i had. It was a long bloody fight the Ten's were dug in and had that attack helio harrasing my units. But finally on June 11 i took Nashville. After that it took me another month to finally conquer Tennesse and the state was split in half from my invasion. Alot of ground to cover over that time and had that small base to the east and Memphis to conquer Memphis became the capital after Nashville fell. So i took Memphis first with 5 of the light infantry i had left lost 3 of em one was beated badly and lost one abram and one beat up too left the last one to guard the way to the east to that small base and hoped there wasn't a counter attack. ( lucky there wasn't one until i got the humvee and other abram in good shape again. Memphis was like Nashville but not as bloody was mostly garrison there with one art to support em. Then I made my final push to conquer tennesse with all the humvees and tanks and it finally fell on July 11 so now either i can conquer Georgia ( which i doubt i could do) or wait for the unite vote.

As a side note the WM was pleased with me even after i took Nashville guess its because i was invaded first.

how long do you have to wait for the vote?

what is/was the premise for the action that tennessee took towards you in the first place? is it explained in the scenario description at the beginning?

Tennesee wanted a transit but Alabama wouldn't give it to them so they invaded to the tennesse river and that was were they messed up. And about the vote never happened took georgia too couldn't believe it but did tell about it later.
