Auto Diplomacy

Post by ExMudder »

Does it work? I set my ministers to turn neutrals to allies and trade for tech, but nothing happens. How do I get people to like me?

I've been able to trade with people for technology, but they charge exorbitant amounts for what they have.

Washington allied with everyone somehow - how do I do that as California?

Also, is there a way to diplomatically annex your neighbors? Other that region merger votes?

If they do something productive, ive never noticed it.

It would be nice if they gave your region a bonus to dip relations, even if they never once actually went and offered a treaty or trade.

But again, its not something ive ever noticed them doing.

Ok, thanks.

Are there any good ways to get your neighbors to declare war on you? I've found declaring war on them gets everyone on the map after you.

When a region has high causus belli towards you, it will be much more likely to declare war. Having the highest buildcap (the most obvious cause anyway) causes "weaker" region's causus belli to climb towards you. I usually parade lots of offensive units near their border as well, but I don't know that that actually does anything. It is just part of preplanning my attack. Other than raising their Belli, you just have to wait for the AI to declare.

Mudder-

Tkobo is right. I am just funning. I forgot them because I am usually running a full throttle export based economy. So refusing to sell to someone is anathema to me. If it takes a few extra months for them to get mad enough to declare war, that is just that many extra days of sucking money out of their economy. If you are in a hurry, then it does help.
