When I try to cancel my Product bribe (military goods) to Isreal, they come back with a 100 million counter offer, that includes my product cancellation (in red) as a part of THEIR offer.

In short, there is no way to cancel the 12 monthly payments of military goods.

Your not alone. I ran into this a while back andc ould not for the life of me figure out why i couldnt find the normal cancel treaty options.

So sadly i cant offer you any help. I ended up buying my way out of a few treaties

Not sure what the final situation on this was but some fixes were made in update 6 to try and address trade cancellation issues. Some problems may still exist.

Feel free to send me a savegame with the counter-offer in your inbox and we'll watch for this sort of thing in testing for SR2020 (assuming its trade deals are done the same way...)

Hehheeh found that one i posted about.

There was no way i could find to simply break or cancel the trade. And when i offered a buy out, their counter offer was bizzare to say the least.

Felinis,do you perchance have the AI set to unpredictable ?

This is what i wrote off my odd experiences in ww3 too.

Tikobo,

Yes it is set to unpredictable.

Balthagor,

Set up a WWIII game, very diffecult, no time limit, los and range off, play U.S., AI agressiveness un-predictable, Total victory.
Give Isreal two diplomatic product gifts, both military goods. Once per month for one year each.

Then try to take them back.

If you go into the "State Department" and select the region you are dealing with... and then in the third panel see what you are providing to them and receiving from them... does it allow you to cancel the trade here? (not in the diplomacy popup)

I'll have to check if we allowed the cancellation of items you are offering in that area or if it's something that should offer you the ability to cancel the offered item.
