Big Problem with alliance Pact...

Post by Mimmoxl »

Hello guys!

I have a question, how i can tell to a my alliad to attack my enemy?

I was Rome in Italy Campaign, i am allied with Naples, Milan attacks me but Naples don't help me!
I tried also to attack Milan, Naples are sleeping...

This is a Bug? This is an unfair allied?

I have this problem in all my scenario or campaign...

Thank you!

You can't ask a ally to attack another region....
Try a -mutual defence- treaty... maybe that will help...
And take a look at your ally treaties.Maybe he has also treaties with your
opponent..

Cheers

Currently you have to "drag" an ally into a war alot of the time.

An effective way to do this is to get some supported artillary units into your allies territory and attack the enemy from there.

The enemy will of course attack your artillary units in thier own defense and this can trigger your ally to join the war in a few ways.

The enemy artillary fire aimed at your troops can hit your allies troops.
The enemy artillary fire aimed at your troops can hit your allies buildings.
The enemy may cross your allies border in an attempt to reach you.
etc....

All of which can increase your allies want to go to war against your enemy or outright cuase your allie to declare war on the spot depending on other factors.

Having an alliance is quite useless, i think that an ally must help another ally....

Or not?

Having an alliance is not a guaranty of anything.

It shouldnt be.

It isnt in real life either.

Its a starting stone though, and an effective one if you know how to build upon it.

Though i agree, it should carry a little more weight. It should never be a guaranty.

This is sort of silly. You should at least be able to request that your ally declare war on a region.

I always end up using my allies for a staging area where I can attack another region from differnet fronts. Later I usually invade my own allies after everyone else is dealt with.
In war destroy everything even the livestock.
