Diplomatic ministers

Post by bacorales »

Do they really do something? Any order you issue, are useless.

If you put Foreign Invest, they dont invest...

Openly help allies, they dont help...

The same with other orders and with some of the priorities of other ministers.

The other thing is that they never recommend any priority or they never give you an opinion of the treaties you try to sign

As the game stands right now, you are right that the State Dept Minister doesn't do very much. That will change as we develop their role a little more. As we went Gold with the game, there was concern about letting the State Dept Minister do too much... that you might not want and that would be hard to undo without taking a WM Penalty, so we ended up not letting him do very much at all. We'll keep working on it though!

How is State supposed to 'Undermine Enemies'? There is no way to do that, not even manually!

Boycotts would work.I dont know if the minister does that, but it would fit.

Sell things that the enemy is trying to sell at a much reduced price than thiers (even at a loss), to kill their economy.

It could if your economy wasnt strong enough.

But i do it all the time in my economies.Sometimes to help an ally AI- sometimes to mess with an enemy one.
