1. Request lower defcon.
2. Move units back from border.

might be useful diplo options.

Your minister cannot change the defcon, that's why you don't need a lock there. The defcon you set will give the minister an inidication of how "ready" he should make your forces. At lower defcons I believe the intent is for the minister to move more forces into reserves and mostly keep units for garrison and patrol duties only.

I meant ask other nations to reduce their build up.

best way to achieve that will be to try and get them to sign a none aggression pact or other diplomatic stuff. We've already finalized that list so we'll hang onto those suggestions for future versions.

While I certainly do not disagree with your sentiment :D , it is sometimes a good idea (for efficiency) to actively plan for future expansions (and the like) while still designing the original product. :D

After all, we would hate to see George, David, Chris and Daxon having to redo stuff within the next 6 months because they failed to incorporate a truly useful feature (that would be essential to future versions) during the initial design phase. :o

I guess I could see how this feature might work, however technically most countries are within their rights to amass troops on the borders - after all, that's the most prominent place for land units to roll across. If they're putting all of their troops on your border, my guess would be they're either paranoid, or about ready to attack you or some such ;)

Yes, nothing says I don't love you anymore quite like a few dozen units lined up at the border crossings :-)

... when your Indian neighbour to the south starts building radar stations and military bases and air defense/attack facilities on your border either, eh George? (thinking back to our dev test game). :o
