Indeed not. It's alot deeper than that. It's about a situation where the world is taken over by 3 Superpowers, who divide it and are perpetually at war. It focuses on the social, psychologica, and philosophical aspects more than the war aspect, though--by far one of the greatest books of the 20th Century. Amazed you haven't read it.Dagooz wrote:Havent read 1984 but I'm guessing it is a cold war "what if" book?

They don't fight for land, they fight to keep their populations docile. Nobody will ever win.bergsjaeger wrote: Northern Africa is a hella lot of land to be fighting over. The funny thing is most of its nothing but desert. I could understand the middle east region but y North Africa. Maybe I get the book to c if it explains it to me.

Well that explains y their fighting in an area not worth fighting at. But there's better ways to keep the populations passive. Bet the wars drove down the population levels too. Launching a few nukes would have done that. I hope wars never become like that. Maybe htey will.
In war destroy everything even the livestock.

This is from awhile ago but I thought I would mention that you can play from all 32 regions... look for the little down arrow beside the region list to display the second 16 regions.Master Chief wrote:How about a Europe map grouping with the ai controled countys (croatia, bosnia, serbia...) replaceing some of the playable ones (ireland, portugal, benelux...)?
