I have been playing SR2010 for quite long time now, and have also been modding the SRUNITS file, adding and making changes to individual units without any problems, but I am having some difficulty getting the game to recognize new buildings/structures.
For instance, I tried creating a new, rapid-build supply structure (FIREBASE) using altered supply depot data, and while the map editor recognized the new building, the game itself, in a custom scenario did not. There is no special tech required, and it is set to be buildable by engineers.
Am I missing something when it comes to adding new structures? Are the number of structures usable in the game fixed? Did I miss a step in adding the new structure to a menu?

For SR2010 each scenario is a different file. When you change the equipment file you have to import it and save it with every map you want to have use that equipment file.
