hey i just got this game which is good btw accpet im having problems unloading troops onto enemy territory. I currently have AOE ships that haveegineer units in them, and im trying to deploy them on U.S. land(playing China)

accept every time i click unload and bring the blue line to shore, nothing happens, ive tried deploying in other areas as well, away from enemy units, and ive tried to bring my other war ships into the area to help secure the place, but still nothing. Any help would be great thanks.

And also, is the AI capable of doing this? Because every time i war with other nations that have some terrortory on islands nothing seems to happen, so does the AI control ship deployment as well?

Your units (engineers) are amphibious, but the ships they are on (AOEs) are not, so your going to need a pier or port to get them to shore.
Basically, these ships need to dock before they can unlaod their units.

Using amphibious landing ships with amphibious units will allow you to land said units on shorelines and beachs, without the need for a pier or port.


As for the AI, sadly no.It doesnt know how to do this.So if the region your playing is seperated by a large body of water from its foes, your homeland will be forever safe from enemy invasions.

thanks, and also how do u tell if they are amphibious or not?

It shows you at the bottom of the unit info screen.
Theres little icons,that if you put the courser over, will display text.

If a unit has the amphibious icon ,its amphibious.

I "think" its listed in the text also, but i cant remember for sure.
