So a low profile unit can possibly attack an enemy unit without being fired upon in return ?

If Battlegoat actually does this (but only for some units, like partisans) i reckon the game will add some more interesting realism.

I presume this would bring that low profile unit up to normal visibility?

However, if this unit was striking well away from the front line, like attacking industry centres, perhaps it would be able to resume its low profile?

Unless the attacking unit completely destroyed the target, I would have thought the target could return fire. I think there have been lots of occasions where fire is returned even though there may be nothing there to hit! How effective that return fire might be - I could not say.

If a low profile unit is in the next hex, it would become visible by firing. If it is more than a hex away, its profile does grow when it is firing but it could still be out of your line of sight.
