make sure you unit can be air transported
select the unit(s) you want transported
right click on the place the planes you want to transport them is
select "advanced"
select "load into" on the new menu you'll get
load them into the plane of your choosing
when they are loaded into the plane, do the same thing with the plane, right click on the location you want the airdropped, click "Advanced" but click on "Unload" this time.

Even easier (assuming it works, more on this later):
Click your guy.
Right click where you want him to go.
Choose 'Air Transport'.
Assuming your order is valid (more on this later), bam! it just happens.
Now, it could very well be that your order is invalid, depending on a whole bunch of stuff, including type of unit or transport, cargo capacity, availible platforms, destination, etc etc. You also may need to 'split' the unit so he can fit in the transport. If it's an invalid order, either nothing will happen, or the units will try to obey up to a point, then stop. Hope this helps.
