The Marine LAV-25 are the same as the MOWAG Piranha 8x8 with 25mm cannon in Swiss service, or the Canadian LAV-25 Coyote recon vehicle. They appeared in 1984 (in US Service), they have a 25mm cannon, not a 90mm cannon (there is a LAV-AG that has the 90mm gun). They are not the same vehicles as the newer LAV-III/Stryker (1998) or the Swiss Piranha VI (1999).

I've made corrections based on these msgs, thanks. However, I went looking for the LAV-AG to get some details and decided not to add it after finding the following information on Periscope;

"LAV-AG Assault Gun Vehicle/LAV-105 (USMC)
Though not a direct chronological variant of the LAV-III Kodiak, the LAV-AG is a variant of the LAV-25 Bison (8 x 8 ) and was the USMC's attempt at procuring an LAV fitted with a MBT gun.
The Marine Corps evaluated several 75-mm, 90-mm, and 105-mm guns on the LAV chassis for the role of direct fire support, including the ARES Inc. 75-mm, the Belgian MECAR 90-mm, and Benet Laboratories 105-mm gun.

Controversy over mounting a 105-mm gun concerned the primary mission of the LAV, which is said to be forward reconnaissance and flank security and not head-to-head combat against main battle tanks. The Marine Corps initially placed a weight limit of 29,000 lb (13,154 kg) on the LAV(AG); the limit was later raised to 30,500 lb (13,835 kg).

In December 1988, the Marine Corps selected the Benet EX-35 105-mm gun for the LAV(AG). It was planned to develop three prototypes for delivery to the USMC in 1992. However, due to the project's unassured future, the program was canceled in 1991. By that time the first unmanned firing trials had been completed. In 1993, funding was released to have the three prototypes completed for testing purposes, but the LAV-105 requirement for the USMC has not been funded and no country has purchased it. "

If anyone disagrees, let me know...

About the EX-35 gun is now called the M35 LRF Gun. It is also on the M8 Ridgway. About the ARTEC MRAV, it's call the Boxer.

Don't worry about the ex-35/M-35, it's the tank gun used by the LAV-105. I was just explaining that the LAV-105 had the same gun as the M8 Ridgeway.

This isn't so much of a corrections as it is the suggestion. You could change the M1080 FCS to M10 'Swartzkopf'.

Also the Argentino Mediano i think is more commonly know as the TAM. Or even the TH 301 'TAM'. TH 301 would be the German designation.

Yes, it stands for Tanque Argentino Mediano and it us is abbreviated TAM. In military equipment books or websites usually you don't see entries in for the 'Argentino Mediano', you usually see entries for the 'TAM'.
