Russian Ships
I'm having difficulties classifying one of the ships. The Russian Kara (aka Berkut-B, aka Azov, aka Project 1134b, aka Kerch) ship is listed in some references as a Cruiser, others a Destroyer. Anyone know which is more accurate? I've even got one site that lists it in Russia's Crusier inventory, then has the specs in the Destroyer section :(

From what I found in the Net they are classified by the russians as BPK.
And from
http://www.armscontrol.ru/atmtc/Arms_sy ... SR_USA.htm
We get:
BPK - Bol'shoy Protivolodochny Korabl' = CG/DDG/DD - Large ASW Ship (Guided Missile Cruiser/ or Destroyer)
So, it could be either a Destroyer or a Cruiser...
Comparing displacement
(FAS.org data)
Kara
Displacement (tons): 8,200-8,565 tons standard / 8,825-9,700 tons full load
CGN - 38 Virginia
Displacement Light Displacement: 10663 tons / Full Displacement: 11666 tons
DDG ARLEIGH BURKE class
FLIGHT I 8,300 tons full load
FLIGHT IIA 9,192-9,217 tons full load
