LOSAT units should have a higher initiative and will therefore get first shot and fire more often.
At times this will become a little abstract since you're dealing with battlions. One on one the exact engagement range becomes more of an issue. When the tank battalion approaches the AT battalion, they are outranged for really only the first shot then the battalions mix it up.
